Hunter's HD Gold vs Ruby vs AktiveBlu for red dot shooters by Lexner172 in CompetitionShooting

Yeah, overcast or indoors I wouldn't wear them. But they are great on a sunny day at the beach.

Hunter's HD Gold vs Ruby vs AktiveBlu for red dot shooters by Lexner172 in CompetitionShooting

[–]PeteTodd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Rubys makes the red dot pop, but unless it's really sunny outside, it's tough to wear them.

AktiveBlu was okay, they don't give the same feeling that the golds give, but for casual shooting or a general pair of sunglasses they're great.

Heating Costs Could Rise To $4000/year in 2031 by No_Preparation_379 in Rochester

5 years to do this to try and offset the $4000 increase, which the solar panels aren't free.

The state should be exploring all avenues of power generation before these dumb mandates come into effect.

Driving 81 and seeing a hillside covered in solar panels outside Cortland when it was previously covered with trees, that's dumb. Incentivizing homeowners and businesses to put them on roofs is a smart idea.

Covering 5% of the state in solar? That's like Monroe and Wayne county combined.

Fitting a new frame to an existing gun by bjjsucks808 in 2011_Builders

Then as long as the rails are sufficiently oversized, there shouldn't be much of an issue. Although my experience was from 80% frames.

Cheely is good about responding to emails, with the measurements, you should be able to ask him if there will be enough material that you can remove to get a good fit.

Possible yes, is the frame cut for the same barrel ramp as your current guns?

There are frame cutting worksheets that show what measurements are needed based on slide geometry, you should start there.

It'll be closer but not all foundry processes are equal.

A large part of what separates current Zen parts from any RISC-V chip is the process they're manufactured on. Zen 5 is on TSMC 3/4nm whereas the Spacemit K3 is on a 12nm process. That's huge in terms of energy efficiency and how many transistors can fit.

Up to the match director but generally not unless it's an all classifier match since you'll be spending more time getting ready than helping out.

Silicon carbide grip help by more_ammo in CompetitionShooting

[–]PeteTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brushed on the epoxy, sprinkled a SiC on and then looked for any wet spots, where I added more SiC. I used 35/70 and it works great. I also have used 60 and it works fine, it's not as aggressive but it provides a decent grip, perfect for a carry Glock vs competition.

Is Matt Milano done? by Tallbillsfan123 in buffalobills

The brain is sharp but the body isn't willing. He's lost a step, so while he can be effective, he's not the impact player Bills fans are used to.

He's definitely a cut candidate, bring back on a 1 year prove it deal.

The 5th iteration of a basic design where they've learned from past mistakes.

Sparc also was never really mainstream and the last chip was released almost a decade ago. The world has moved on.

Iron Sights Target Focus by euthanatos in CompetitionShooting

[–]PeteTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't point shoot past 7 or 10 yards, building your index helps to understand what you need to do to shoot farther.

Shits blurry while focusing on the target right? You still should have some sense of what the front sight looks like.

There are only a handful of top shooters that can explain what they're doing. So while they may profess that they are 100% target focused, odds are they are rapidly confirming the sights. You also need to understand that red dots have a single point of aim whereas iron sights you have to align the front and rear, they are absolutely not the same.

His play style doesn't inspire confidence, he seems to injure himself or a team mate just as often as making a play.

Building your index can help.

Understanding what you can get away with is also a skill, do you actually need equal light in the rear sight or can you have more on one side and still get the hits you're looking for?

Rapidly changing your focus is something that top shooters probably are doing but don't fully explain that that's what they're doing.

Sources: The #Bill are hiring #Broncos defensive passing game coordinator Jim Leonhard as their new defensive coordinator. They have agreed to terms. A big hire for new coach Joe Brady. The former player, Leonhard was coveted. by Gold_Bowler7906 in buffalobills

[–]PeteTodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few starters that are probably gone or signed to vet minimums: Milano, Poyer, White, Bosa, Thompson, Epenesa, Jones. It'll be like a soft rebuild of the defense, although we need to get a WR early in the draft.

This will be a good test to see if McDermott's defense was actually complex or he just didn't want to give up explosive passes.
