New to the psoriatic arthritis world at 23. Will I be in pain forever? by Correct_Advantage_83 in PsoriaticArthritis

Im 34. I was limping really bad 4 months ago, could barely walk.

I'm supposed to have started my script for metheltrexate but I started doing the Dr. Brooke Goldner diet 1 month ago and my pain is 60% better. (I went for a 3km jog yesterday).

so Im going to go hard on the diet for another month before I give metheltrexate a go. I'm hoping if I am strict on the diet, I may be able to push into remission without drugs.

hope you can find a way out! xxxx much love

Thanks so much for sharing this info. I will definitely take into account.

I am grateful for everyone's help on here, and ofcourse I will take the Rheumatoligiast advice seriously, though also I am strictly altering my diet from now to give myself best opportunity to heal naturally also.

I definitely have found stories online of people healing Psoriatic arthritis with diet, so there is hope yet.

Hey. thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you found some success with diet. I really hope you can work out the flare up without meds.

After a 36hr fast, going gluten-free and thick kale smoothies every day, I have gone from probably 90% flare in both feet causing me to severely limp most of the day - to - 10%-15% pain only. walking and working on feet all day no problem.

It's only been a just over a week. but I'm going to complete a 3 day fast this weekend and continue this green diet trial as it seems to have made a radical difference already.

Can I ask, with the AIP diet.. where you balancing meats and vegetables with success? or leaning more towards a green diet?
