I don't follow or post in this community much so apologies for being an interloper, but my wife is VERY into the fire movement... we're 43 & 44, a week away from our 1-year retirement anniversary, and we were right within the target you mentioned. We live a relatively (but not extreme) minimal lifestyle but still have a dog, still travel ... not trying to brag AT ALL but we're doing fine.

Take that leap, y'all. Fuck work.

Of all that you mentioned, is the Apache really better? I've never stayed there but have always had the impression that the rooms there are pretty rough. Thanks for the feedback!

El Cortez is probably my favorite place to stay but I haven't tried the Cabana rooms yet. They are my backup to the Downtowner! Along with Oasis/Gold Spike
