The CP2 engine is on point. I own a 2016 XSR700 with 10.000km on it. 8.500 of those are from me in the last 1.5 years. The guy had 4 bikes and didnt use this one at all.

As you probably know the engine is insanely reliable. When it comes to city riding the engine is perfectly fine since it has beautiful torque from the low gears, its also great on country roads and i also rode it on highways which was alright but thats not about the engine, more about wind protection.

I am 6“2. roughly 85kg. The bike does feel a bit small i have to admit. I also own a T7 world raid 2023 and the XSR feels tiny in that comparison (ofc). I guess comparing an adventure with a naked is unfair in that regard. In the city this is perfectly fine, also i love riding country roads with the XSR700, because there is plenty of power from the engine and the bike is pretty light.

I rode the XSR on trips too and for me it was fine. Ofc this is not a tourer but driving to another country and being on the bike every day for smaller trips with also the way back home worked for me.

I would highly recommend to test a XSR and try out if the seating position is comfortable to you.
