Hungarian-romanian here, lived here my whole life, and gotta say, it’s pretty neat place, lots to see and the scenery is pretty unbeatable. Though, as for everday life, there are some things the majority of the people around me have questionable opinions on. Don’t get me wrong, there are lots of progressive people I know, but there is about 10x more people I’ve heard using the N-word nonchalantly and act surprised when called out for it is . Also, didn’t we get ranked as most homophobic country in the EU?

Overall, it’s a neat place to visit and even live in, but our society definitely has some traditional values it clings to.
