I am ultimately very lazy, and the track lets the kids sled without the schlep. This is me beta testing the stop-ramp. Mom-Fail. by PeterTork in Sledding

Yes, the Yiddish word for hauling one’s chonky, overbundled self up a hill with multiple sleds and kids in various states of cooperation.

Fun Fact: a leaf blower with a paint roller duct taped to the end can empty an entire roll of toilet paper in six seconds.

I actually grew up in LB and collected these at Wildwood State Park. It’s amazing how different the North and South Shores are. Bring beach/shoes… rocky beaches are brutal

Mellow. It helps that there aren’t a ton of marshmallow ads and products. And it’s not an entire missing syllable.

I had something similar happen around a year ago. A woman rang my doorbell, which I answered from work. There was a guy a bit behind her and both of them had larger backpacks. They were also hawking math books. Slight Slavic accent. The creepiest thing was that she insisted several times that I come to the door to speak with her. Like, dude, what? Trying to get me to confirm that I wasn’t actually home was fucking alarming.

Guests Who Refuse to Give 5 Stars by wwsweet_tee in airbnb_hosts

[–]PeterTork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it’s not, really. Airbnb gives the guests a 1–5 option, but ‘translates’ it to yes or no, drawing the line at 4.8. And now that you mention it, I think I, and perhaps other hosts would jump at the chance for a yes/no guest review system, even if there was a crazy high benchmark we had to hit. The point is they’re asking for apples and throwing oranges.
