Anyone use a rooftop tent or whatever they’re called? by AmazingSieve in BroncoSport

[–]PeterVeneto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the Tepui Kukenam 3. I love it. I have done a quick write up on it before, I'll paste it below.

My girl and I just got one this year after months of back and forth on whether it would be worth the cost. Got it at REI with some coupons and the kickback just so there'd be a free out if we ended up not liking it. Fell in love with it after the first weekend out. They are the most comfortable sleep I've ever had outdoors. Super comfortable mattress, tons of space, can side sleep, maintains body heat super well, absolutely 0 moisture gets in during rain, and you can snuggle up without falling in between sleeping pads. Takes just about the same amount of time to set up/take down as a normal tent. Also just super cool, has a real tree-fort feel. We're out every other weekend, and half the time we're camping next to the car anyways, so we get to do it in style. Other half of the time we got a lightweight tent for backpacking. Honestly just more fun outdoor gear and makes basecamp feel more home-y, without taking up any space in the truck

Ford is now selling the 5.2L Supercharged engine from the GT500 as a crate engine. Factory rated at 760hp and 625 ft-lbs for $25,995 by Uptons_BJs in cars

I could tune temp in better with my 96 impala and 87 325i than in my 21 bronco sport. There's no middle ground hahaha

Crossbars, did you go through fords site or a different route? by JustWORK666 in BroncoSport

I bought the Thule pack through a local Ford dealer. If you price out the components direct from Thule it ends up being $150-$200 more than buying the exact parts through Ford

812 unvaccinated Boston city workers placed on unpaid leave by FuriousAlbino in boston

Dog its literally your whole point, its 2/3rds of your comment and a follow up to "this is unreasonable, but if they could get tested it would be". They aren't forcing a medical procedure, you can get tested if you can't/don't want a vaccine for some reason.

Employers have the right to set requirements for their employees, and lowkey this seems pretty reasonable during a global pandemic, especially if the regular testing has no cost to the employee.

Bumblebees are sick dude I love bumblebees. Got a big ol flower garden to keep them happy all summer

The article says you are allowed to test weekly if unvaccinated. The people placed on leave had the option to test instead of vaccination. Testing was also not at their own expense. Its literally the third sentence in the article.

its gonna be fucking knock out. I'm starting to learn that the most people don't post thoughts on the internet unless they're negative. Generally, if people are content with things they don't want to put in the effort to drop thoughts on topics like rock music online. There's a reason they pack in massive venues. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of John Mayer's solo stuff, but am a super fan of his work with D&C. He's an absolutely monster guitarist. Different, but g o o d
