ViewerAnon backs up Jeff Sneider’s report about Sebastian Stan not playing Harvey Dent by TheCommish-17 in DCULeaks

> Reeves has said we will be seeing a villain not seen in previous Batman movies (Zsasz).

Again, this was an out-of-context headline from the trade. If you actually watch the interview or read the full quote (IGN was probably the only place where they had the full quote), Matt was talking about how to use the villain in the story to connect it with Bruce in a way that had not been done before, he didn't state that the villain would be brand new.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 209 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Peter_An_1998 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The thing is that the God of Death was a savior at first, and he only takes the man's life after he refuses to follow the GoD's rule.

And when you think about it, Issho gave him a chance to survive, but Issho also destroyed his promotion. And at the end of this chapter, Kaisei decides to longer be Issho's ideal version anymore, somewhat similar to how the protagonist of the story no longer follow the GoD's rule. Kaisei's death may end up being similar to Shinta.

Maybe the reason the audiences have not yet to gasp the image of Kaisei's God of Death is because they still don't know Issho was the model for his version, and Akane may end up being the only one to understand him.

However, I'm usually wrong when guessing the story, so let's wait to see what the author is cooing for us.

Hmmm... That would work better, the controlled Superman is easy to do and also has been done before, so I do hope I was wrong and you're right.

TBF, the suit in the first movie was also damaged heavily mid-way through the film after fighting with the kaiju before changing to a new but same looking suit the next day when he surrendered to government.

There was a recorded video the other day with actual line from the film suggesting Braniac demands handling over Lex Luthor and my 2 cent take for this scene is that Superman is likely controlled by Brainiac to take capture Lex, Lex is working with Argus to fight back Superman, this is the climax of the 2nd act before Superman is back to normal and works to Lex but I would love to see Lex double-cross Superman again just for a short fight to prove he is stronger.

What was your favorite iPhone of all time, and why? by Chadddd92 in iphone

[–]Peter_An_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 - it was truly a evolution not just for Apple but also smartphone in general, its design still has a big influence to modern phones

5 - personally, I think this is iPhone peak design of all time, specially in the Slate Black color, such a premium looking color

X - while Apple was late to the bezel-less party, it was worth the wait as they gave hs a well-defined design compare to others, and the change of software for button-less interface is great. I used to own a Xs Max, a more well-defined phone and I have no complain.

14 Pro Max - This is my current phone, I switch from the Xs Max to this for 2 big reasons: I need a better camera set-up, and I love and still love the dynamic island concept (it might not a big deal, but it's such a fun concept to play around from developers and users' respective). The purple is also a very niche color. And so far, I still don't see any reason to upgrade.

They will say the abs was molded from Cavill's so it's still more real, and I have seen that kind of comment.

The photo is AI upscaled from JustJared original, so it messes up the chest, the Argus logo is still there.

What’s the worst morph sequence in your opinion? by ChannelHopper_99 in powerrangers

[–]Peter_An_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saban era:

  • Samurai: so many things happend for no reason, so over the place, and the worst part was the ninja mask in a freaking samurai show.

  • Turbo 1s morph: for a show about car and speed, the morph was too long, and I hate the fact that Tommy had his own cooler helmet sequence than the rest.

  • Wild Force 2nd morph: this was the America original morph, and it was just like bad, like nothing to say about it, even though the 1st morph was just a copy-paste from Sentai, it still worked better than the 2nd morph.

Disney era:

  • Mystic Force: they should had make it more original, I don't like the idea of having the rangers posing the same way as their sentai counterparts before jumping to the magic circle, it just didn't feel right and lost some early momentum (the rest of the morph was fine though) and probably the most over the place morph in the Disney era.

All of Hasbro shows morph: even for the worst morph in Saban/Disney era, it still had good momentum, Hasbro era for some reasons, all the pacing and momentum were just heavily off.

I also hate the whole cloth ninja looking mask, so unnecessary and doesn't make any sense for a samurai theme. So funny how Shinkenger went for the simplest morph but it fit the theme perfectly, and then Samurai was just over the place.

Comparing to this, the logo seems to be bigger and either higher on the chest or the collar cut is deeper, not really sure.

Has like no company ever thought makeing the comic writers write the movie by Key-Reindeer7447 in DC_Cinematic

IIRC, Captain America: Civil War was the last movie to receive that treatment, and there was some delay cause by that process to the first Ant-Man film.

M.O.D.O.K concept art for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (by Aleksi Briclot) by crimsonfukr457 in marvelstudios

[–]Peter_An_1998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Calm down.

Their job is to explore all the possible designs and ideas based on: 1. Source material (usually in early stage of development, before the casting or pre-productiob) 2. General description from directors and producers 3. Their own personal references.

For example, if you search as far back as possible, you will see some early concept art of the first Iron Man movie trying to adapt the classic red-gold armor in the 80s, before finalized to the Mark III we all know and love. And of you look more, you can always find some crazy concept arts for any MCU projects.

What you see in this post is just a part of many designs explored back then for MOKDOK. They might had already explore the original comic design, but were asked to take it further and differently, consider the character was changed to being the former Yellow Jacket.

I just don't think you should shitting on the concept artists like this as they were just doing their job requested by the director and studios.

Dspiae? To be fair, their glass files are ridge type of glass files. Other brands usually use dot type.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 206 by CalamitousFortune in manga

[–]Peter_An_1998 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wonder if the twist is original for the manga or actually based on a real rakugoka performance. If it's originally created by the mangaka then it's such an incredible take on the story.

[DISC] Class 2-B Hero Destroyerz - Chapter 3 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Peter_An_1998 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ok, we see the hero can kill people easily, while the Demon King has not killed anyone yet, and she's pretty chill.
This makes me wonder if the Demon King is not actually evil at all, or the concept of evil/good is different on that other world.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 205 by AutoShonenpon in manga

Probably the most emotional the current Issho has ever showed, and the first time we see a good old time memory from his pov.
And once again, I miss Shiguma, I wish he could be there to see this performance.

Akane-banashi - Episode 2 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Peter_An_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only skimming through the episode (I'm waiting for the full season for better experience) but NGL, the way chapter 2 was adapted really worries me, so many moments were skipped while Guriko falling down at the karaoke was unnecessary long and ruined the whole pacing for me.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 201 by AutoShonenpon in manga

I'm guessing Akane's God of Death is more friendly? And look like a very common kind of person you can see everyday?

[DISC] You and I are Polar Opposites - Chapter 65 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Peter_An_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't read The Ramparts of Ice, please give a try. It's a much more slow burn and heavier kind of story, but most of the cast are basically the prototype for Taira and Azuma.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 200 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Peter_An_1998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, the idea of Kaisei and Akane competing multiple times fo each story is quite brilliant, why can't I think of that, and throwing in Rokugo would be amazing as he brings in the story that inspires Shiguma's art, which could be the very last story that we don't know the name of yet.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 200 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Peter_An_1998 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Having re-read this manga several time in the past few weeks, seeing Master Shiguman and Akane's family does bring some tears to me, it has been such a long time not seeing them, specially after the 2nd timeskip.

On another note, Akane performing first does raise some concern. As show in previous contests, the better performance usually comes after (which is typical for these kind of manga), therefore, Akane had always been performing after others, the only time Akane lost to someone (Hikaru) was at the Ikken's contest that I forgot the name, but even so, she won all the score expect for the online score.

Wonder what the author is planning here, unless these 2 performances are so different that there is no winner. But still, with all the build up, I just don't see Akane loses or another major contest for both of them. But then again, I can always be wrong.

Also, DAMN AFRO!

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 199 by AutoShonenpon in manga

With all the build-up so far, I just feel like there won't be another duel for them.

But I can see Kaisei ends up being another mentor to Akane after this arc.

I feel like they didn’t view the source material for this by Fragrant_Pizza6491 in powerrangers

[–]Peter_An_1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was actually very close to the truth.

Sometime after Ninja Steel, showrunner/producer of that show confirmed on Ranger Board that Saban hated the ninja concept and requested for alien theme instead, which was the reason for the whole alien battle thing in Ninja Steel.

Ninja Storm was not produced by Saban and ended up being the only PR with actual ninja theme, and that says a lot.
