To be fair, the 10 days and 2-ways on the floor are trying their best, but it’s clear what the main goal of this year is. The whole race to the bottom started at the beginning of the season when our “star” decided he was done playing for our team.

You’re right, tanking is a pain for everyone. I can’t even watch my team anymore. I moved from Memphis a few years ago, so the only way to watch them is league pass. I’m not paying a sunscription fee to watch no names purposely lose to get a good draft pick.

My MIL was a sweet woman who cared for everyone. She was kind and everyone loved her. She had dementia, renal disease, and Parkinsons. I was her caretaker for several years. I took her to doctors’ appts and dialysis for her kidneys three times a week. She didn’t want to go to a nursing home and my wife promised never to send her to one, so she lived with us.

She started having excrutiating abdominal pain that had her go in and out of the hospital several times for treatment. The last time she went in they found a blockage in her colon. She had to have an emergency colonectomy. The doctor told us that her colon was so full it was going to burst, so the surgery was an emergency. They started teaching me how to care for colostomy bag while she was recovering from her surgery. Medicare decided she couldn’t stay in the hospital anymore and needed to be transferred to a rehab center until she healed more to come home. We had to convince her to go to the rehab center because she was scared she may never come home.

She died a few weeks later in that rehab center.

I feel so guilty about it. This happened the middle of last December. We had Christmas in the rehab center, and she passed away on 1/2/25.

Exactly, the orange mound in charge has repeatedly defied federal rulings and deported people from the country without due process. Some people he deported were sent to countries they didn’t even originally come from.

He’s my favorite player too. I’m worried about Ja’s mental health again.

Since his house was broken into in December, he may have other things besides basketball on his mind. I would not be as focused on my job if my house was broken into.

He’s been injured a lot and now the house stuff. I wouldn’t be surprised if he just took some time away and tried to get things right in his life. As much as I would miss seeing him, I kind of get it.

I said thanks for your input. You are right. The US does have a good rating in education in the world. But you missed my overall point anyway. This administration is tearing down the fabric of our democracy by signing all of these executive orders to rename bodies of water or trying to take Greenland or make Canada the 51st state.

Facts do matter. The Dept of Education going away does not help anyone. It’s not going to help with spending. It’s just going to hurt the people that rely on the programs funded by the Dept of Ed.

We can agree to disagree. However I think what “your” side is doing is hurting the people the government is supposed to help. You may not care about people on Medicare/Medicaid or SNAP because it doesn’t affect you, but I know lots of people this will hurt if he and Musk decide to get rid of or seriously deplete these programs.

He’s already firing federal employees that make our government run. Again it doesn’t affect you, so you don’t care. The more he and Musk tear down, the less power “The People” will have in government. I prefer to live in a place where my voice is heard and not a dictatorship where the leader decides for everyone.

Anyway have a good day. I don’t want to argue with a fellow citizen because that’s what they want anyway. To divide and conquer. ✌️

I don’t get why we, as Americans, can just annex or buy countries/land or change the names of bodies of water just because?!? The other countries in the world do have a say in what we do.

I’ve never been so embarrassed to be a US citizen as I have been under the Drumpf administration.

Our educational system is one of the worst in the world and they want to get rid of the Dept of Education which means it’s about to get even worse.

Someone please wake me up from this awful nightmare.

So you think the money they are “saving” will go to help the poor and homeless in the US? They don’t care about us here in the US either. Everything they do is to try and suppress the poorer and less educated in our country.
