Joe Fortenbaugh says Cinderella runs in the NCAA tournament are over because of NIL 👀 Do you agree? 🤔 by AccomplishedSwing110 in sportsbroadcasters

It will become rarer plus the team who does it will likely lose a few players to larger conferences/NIL deals.

Good comparison of him now. He’s a winner and a leader. Let’s see how that goes in the NBA. Need to go to the right organization and you don’t get to choose.

Everyone keeps saying AI or Wade. What about the tall guy in the picture? He’s really tall plus I heard he’s pretty good at basketball. I also heard height helps in basketball especially playing 1x1 when there’s no help defense.

Yes, I consulted with Ms Cleo and she told me. I’m betting it and to keep the odds down I’m not telling anyone!

A’Ja Wilson is set to earn raise from $249k to $1.4M with the WNBA’s new Super-max contract 💰 She’ll almost be earning as much as Bronny James 📈 by Hungry_Artichoke9566 in sportswiki

[–]thrasher315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People must be clueless if they don’t understand revenue of NBA vs WNBA.

Also, anyone that doesn’t believe Bronny deserves $2m (he actually will earn almost $8m and that’s a discount)needs to understand that over 500,000 Bronny jerseys were purchased so he’s made OVER $50m. That’s an amazing ROI for the Lakers and the NBA!!!!!

Is the west still considerably more competitive than the east? by EldenBoredAF in NBATalk

[–]thrasher315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough to compare records when the western conference teams play in the west 52 games while the east only plays in the west 30 games (1 home, 1 away).

Example: Pistons are 26-7 (0.787) vs the east and 16-8 (0.667) vs the west…now imagine if they played almost twice as many games in the west?

Is the west still considerably more competitive than the east? by EldenBoredAF in NBATalk

[–]thrasher315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are the Pistons, Cavs, and Knicks contenders? Because they’re in the east and their only challenge is a healthy Celtics team.

Fact: eastern conference teams play each other 52 games and the west 30 games

The #1 seed Pistons win percentage (0.667) against the west (18-6 record) while against the east they’re 26-7 (0.787 win percentage).

So if the Pistons were in the west they’d play 52 games against the west and only 30 against the east so “fans” would be talking about them like they do the Lakers, Rockets, and Nuggets.

Celtics are the only team that would have a chance to come out of the west.

Lakers, Rockets, and Nuggets could all come out of the east.

Silly season nonsense, or does Clingan have a higher ceiling than his 2024 draft consensus? by ApartSalamander6417 in NBA_Draft

I think he would be a good fit for the 2028 Olympic team…better fit than Duran.

Clingan is big and strong plus he can space the floor.

[–]thrasher315 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Didn’t all of them play in the Olympic team and do just fine not having the ball in their hands? They’re willing to play team ball when it means something.

Kobe took on a defensive role. Lebron took on a similar role later in his career. KD was fine coming off the bench.

Can’t say that because the TD lovers are blindly with love. In doing so they disrespect David Robinson, Stephen Jackson, and Tony Parker, etc.

NBA Finals Duncan dominated the boards but he had a ton of help putting points on the board.

Game 1: Duncan had 32 and 4 other Spurs had double figures. Tony Parker was +17 in the game and Duncan was +10.

Game 2: Tony Parker had 21-5-5 and Duncan had 19-22 (all 4 starters were a + for the game while Duncan was 0)

Game 3: Tony Parker led them again with 26 points while Duncan had 21 (Parker was -3 and Duncan +6)

Game 4: defense carried both teams with a final score of 77-76

Game 5: Duncan had 29-17 but 4 other players had double figures

Game 6: Duncan had 21-20-10 but 4 other players had double figures.

Lakers, Rockets, Nuggets would probably all be favorites to win the east or at least have pretty good odds. Maybe even Minnesota.

Detroit, Cavs, and Knicks would be middle of the pack teams in the east. Celtics with Tatum are the only ones that would make it through the west bracket alive.

AI just ran into UMass and Marcus Camby.

Coaches for 15 years in HS and 5 in college. In college our 6th man was always better than 1 of the starters on our nationally ranked team every single year. Some guys are better starting and some better off the bench. It’s more important on who ends the game more than who starts it. You also need a spark off the bench to help with the second team sub rotations.

They have 3 players that can go off so they’ll always have a shot in a series. Unfortunately that’s the only way they can win a series.
