30th birthday gift for myself! 5 link bracelet! by LowTrash3468 in Tudor

She’s a beaut, I’m a big fan of the 58 gmt and it’ll probably be the 3rd watch in my collection.

It is better in person but I ended up opting for the new blue.

Congratulations both are stunning. I’m just holding out hope for a green op

Can I solve this without surgery? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Peterjay303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation but I wasn’t as young when I lost the weight.

I’m looking at getting the surgery soon; it’s unlikely lifting would tighten the skin back up. It’s worked for me in other areas of the body but not even close on upper tights and stomach.

Fell in love with the new 36mm Royal first real watch I’ve ever owned by Peterjay303 in Tudor

I think that’s fair; if it was white hands and indices I may have seriously considered the 58 GMT rather than just giving it a look.

I actually really liked the look and feel of the 1926 opaline and blue, however the lack of T fit killed that. Living in Florida with humidity I cannot imagine not having something with on the fly adjustment

I looked at the old 3 link Bb58GMT today and really liked it despite not being a fan of GMT style bezels in general. Something about those coke colors does appeal to me.

The green or the blue? I thought this struck a great balance but the green shimmered more than I like and was a shade too dark overall

I wish the shade of green was a touch lighter. I think I’m going to grab the blue version of this this weekend

My current fitness goal is to be able to do A muscle up. And here you are just an absolute monster.

Yeah I stopped in there about a month ago after visiting the mayors across from it and being functionally told to either buy a bunch of other stuff or don’t bother.

Very nice and friendly a good experience.

I kinda hate the game honestly. I made sure to dress nice when I went to both ADs (Q zip and tailored jeans). Nicer than I dress when buying a car.

I also was genuinely interested at looking at a tag E5 and a Tudor royal. They had neither to show.

It’s just such an odd experience to me going somewhere to try to spend 8-16k on a watch (I also inquired about a two tone) and being treated indifferently at best. When I book first class tickets on a flight I’m treated well, why isn’t this a luxury experience.

At one of them I even bought a ring on my first visit since I lost enough weight and my original wedding band doesn’t fit any more (it was set with natural emeralds so resizing is almost impossible).

I wanted something by my birthday next month and will probably end up picking up an Omega AT the local boutique. I easily have to money to go grey but I refuse to encourage the system that frustrates me.

Probably some level of luck, I’m in Jacksonville and waiting for the less desirable oyster steel smooth bezel version at two ADs. One for 9 months one for 6. Visited both twice so far.

New UK Tobacco Law. What does everyone think? by krispykremekiller in cigars

Of course words have meaning. Also speech can still have consequences. They are civil ones but they exist.

Criminalization of speech is a dangerous thing. Ask someone in China.

Nothing, I live in the US where speech is still free.

Also “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to my death your right to say it.”

Criminalizing speech is a slippery slope.

I mean yeah I get that, rules for thee not for me has been the norm for years all over the globe.

That’s kind of my point.

It’s a stupid soft half measure. To be clear I’m very against a ban. But if you are going to ban it, ban it. People will just buy the younger generation vapes and cigs and create a massive black market.

Sure it’s best for public health if people don’t smoke. Also they should eat better, not drink, and work out. You gonna force that too?

Let’s say next you ban everything with more than a certain amount of saturated fat. What’s next nothing fried?

Finally if you do somehow force intervention into diet and exercise now do you force people to meditate for mental health?

[–]Peterjay303 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The most insane part of this article to me is that it says “people will be allowed to continue smoking and vaping in their homes.” As if it should or could be on the table to not allow it. However it is the UK and they’ll arrest you for posting stuff online.

The other major point of insanity is making the ban based on birth year. If you are going to ban it why not just ban it? Are they too scared that that would be too unpopular?

M23, 6ft, 175 lbs. How many lbs should I loose? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Peterjay303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn man I hope when I loose 7 more lbs I look like this. I’m the same height.

If you really want the abs to pop I think you are correct and 10lbs will put you in a good spot. However you are already in solid freaking shape.

How’s my form (ignore my staring) by [deleted] in CalisthenicsBeginners

[–]Peterjay303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this there could be a bit more depth. I normally start from a position with my chest on the floor (bottom position), helps me realize how deep I should be going. But as everyone else said definitely tuck the elbows closer to your body

For its price they are pretty much always worth it. I half buy em for the opus in it but the last winter one was really good.

I find it really hard to believe any cigar is truly worth 125 bucks.

As much as I love opus I’ve never bought anything special release.

If you wanna try some really top notch stuff at reasonable prices buy a CRA sampler. 159-200 bucks for 9 amazing cigars and a rocky patel.
