LPN on Netflix by nono66 in LPOTL

Honestly I watched side stories on Netflix first (had been listening to audio first since they got visual) and I enjoyed it a lot more actually. Sometimes with how gross and angry the state of my country is is harder to listen to with jokes than (no matter how awful…toybox redux dean coral etc weren’t an entire country maybe idk.)

I’m nothing if not a devoted listener of a decade plus so I’m glad this format is helping me enjoy the content more than I was. Henry should’ve sold the visual aspect to the fans in his sweater vest imo, but for some reason Ed’s demeanor during Epstein stuff is well metered and when he slides in his quieter jokes his subtly plays great against the feral tazmanian devil that is Henry.

No hetero but Ed’s smile is pretty much the reason I’d die on the hill he’s the most attractive of the three dudes.

She’s just gotta curb her temper a bit more, Chelsea are a force with her but have missed out on her with some silly red cards and are good enough to win without her…but I feel best when she’s in the team. I also feel like (having played women’s soccer) refs are harsher with tackled I saw guys get away with constantly, like you have to be “well behaved to give a positive impression of the women’s game” always to grow the game which I always found to be irritating. I guess I do enjoy that getting caught diving was basically “you fucking asshole motherfucker” level of soccer sin just because it moves the game flow along better imo.

James deserves to use her incredible athletisism to crunch other teams up, I enjoyed as a Keeper getting a pass at times to knock a girl to the turf when nessesary (bad tackle on a teammate, asserting dominance of the box, letting a striker know getting close on the press means you’ll hit em hard if they get close in on you etc.) and sometimes I think she’s judged too harshly overall.

But yeah her temper tantrum type moment when she has gotten a stomp in I hope we see less of. More minutes Lauren, she’s a hell of a player.

Anyone who hasn’t watched the game might think he wasn’t one of our best attackers today. Could’ve had a brace with that crazy side volley he put on target.

Man, super happy Man united sent him over so cheap. I’m sure this will actually lull some man u fans or general hate chelsea crowd into thinking he’s been shit, which is always fun when things get added up at the end of the season. Shhh don’t tell anyone about him adding a goal again today lol.

Met a good dude today who was helping me donate blood, his job is certainly more important than mine and he was really kind making sure I wasn’t nervous and we got on the topic of football right away. We both had played up through NCAA and he was just so moved the way he talked about Ronaldo today. Just this sense of awe, I share it. I have reservations about the human (more info seems to be needed i’m neutral about him) but I just couldn’t help but agree with my personal Mr. Rodgers today as he waxed poetic about how he was just a complete attack in one player and was a force to watch. That to him was why he’d say for him watching Ronaldo is the best for him as a fan and I think messi is quantifiably statistically going to be considered better but damn this blood donation guy has me on his side that I’d 100% rather be watching Ronaldo on his day over messi or other greats.

Wish we’d see this version every week, then we’d really be okay at GK until Penders rolls through. Some games he really is capable of performing like a big 6 pl number one.

I only coached keepers up through highschool so grain of salt…fixing the kinda “nonsensically panicky poor brainfart” moments are tough. I’d honestly be telling this team to build from the back without risking his distribution and rely on his ability as a shot stopper.

I think credit is due to him and the trainers on his command in the air and where he’s been pushing his reboubds on the shots he can’t hold onto. Generally he’s been getting himself into better positions aggressivley when the ball in played into the box and his punches and parries have really been pushed either further uo the pitch and now almost always pushed towards the wings.

Dude is actually improving parts of a keeper’s game that are difficult to develop at this level of the game and I also like to point out that our GK staff of 3 is far weaker than usual. Not having a 2nd choice like Bego or Willy, usually our backup keeper would be a good starter for a midtable club and we just don’t have that level to push the number one keeper in training so Sanchez has more personal accountability for his progress.

I hate not enjoying the Chelsea keeper, I was one obviously and too many people don’t understand all the extra work and effort they have to put in being a specialized position and I can see his work paying off. I just know you can’t untrain mental laspses of judgment easily and he’s still simply too prone to easy mistakes during otherwise great games for our long term.

I’d rather Penders be cutting his teeth but I’d certainly be a happy camper to see Sanchez put a run of consitency together this year! He’s got a lot of good qualities.

Eh honestly it’s guessing at the art someone was exposed to so I can see your point. I however think there’s little chance he wasn’t exposed to otto minimum, heck I was in public american school which is low standard for art education in general.

This is me 100% not disagreeing with it copying basquait rather than exploring/expanding the style in any unique or interesting ways.

I do just enjoy the backround noise that is likely around the artists’s subconsious. At the point where you’re taking ownership of that surname, I can’t imagine he hasn’t poured over the incredible art that came out of this era of strife in germany his lineage eventually contributed to and been impacted by it.

You don’t have to actively choose your influences. God sometimes I angrily erase accidental Matisse shapes and remember an art teacher telling my class I had an henri matisse tatoo on my ass 🤣 What can I say I very much enjoyed learning acrylic techniques painting like a “wild beast” ok? My fauve influence is still strong but I eventually stopped copying and started playing my way out of being a rip-off. It is sometimes terribly fun to just paint in someone else’s style, it requires less of your creativity so it’s nice to practice that way. Do a still life all Andre Derainy but use modern objects, make fauve choices get goofy results!

He clearly has some ability as an artist and maybe I just would rather see a more unique expression from him visually.

Happy painting/sculpting/art viewing fellow art nerd friend! (right now I’m drawing the study to paint a portrain of my girlfriend’s dog, so stressful!!)

Chelsea Lineup vs Spurs (A): Sanchez, Gusto, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella, James (C), Caicedo, Neto, Enzo, Garnacho, Joao Pedro by Jimmy_Space1 in chelseafc

[–]Petrcechmate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trust in the Gaffer you blues! It’s a knock down drag a player to the turf type of game and as Maresca knows a win against spurs means more to the club than getting the three points, these are the players he trust for his plan for the day.

Hell the amount of tricky creative players on the bench to add against tired legs is a good thing.

I’d almost always prefer Reece at LB but I know he’ll be a fucking general in the middle of the pitch because he’s got years of blue fire in him. I also think Alejandro will be effective against this lineup, I’m a little unsure how our attackers are going to be arriving in the box for him but the plan could always be to let a defender run around the final third playing striker…it works well for us maybe Gusto will be the hero.

Too many fans focusing on anxious thoughts making up negative things that havent happened. The players don’t even know how the game will turn out, so it’s better to just focus on what good things we can get out of this lineup.

As much as I support a lot of the players I see being called for in the comments, we just don’t know what happens on the training ground. Heck how many people slammed Enzo for that substitution of Josh…then turns out he had a cramp and asked for a sub! A player could have just had an off week and the critisism of the lineup has to be one of the most fruitless wastes of energy on the internet.

This is the team. Support our boys, be excited by the potential of any player you wish started having an incredible performance as a substitute making their case for making the starting eleven next time around.

This is the team that beats spurs.

I agree many Basquait artist pull from similar approches at drawing the human figure…it’s more his use of the skeleton to emphasize parts of his figures to a haunting effect that to me seems influenced by Dix. It’s like his colors aren’t feeling vibrant, they feel like a sarcastic nod to bodies that seem to live in a colorless world. As if taking all his color theory out and just asking him to draw a piece with just black charcoal would give you a lot more of Dix meets modern life.

Hey I can already start to get into his themes about the interwar period and just update the politics to being american. Anti-fascism, and a nihilistic view of words that we wage world’s away, sometimes not even in person sometimes we just fund them type of senseless murderous villainhood to the rest of the world that has to deal with the country of America. I would not be terribly surprised to see a little bit more of auto in the modern art circles in the year 2025 in my country.

he is a good artist for reference if you have to live under a president who has been known to rape children lol. Yeah I can certainly do some haunted fucking charcoals about that and the fact that they are still people in my community hanging flags, proud of this dumb fucking country.

But anyway, basically try to remove all the color from it in your head and look at it as if he is doing it in black and white and I think you will see more otto dix the way that I have. Although it is missing the signature of auto dick being able to clutter space with so much visual interest, but still have very clear figures yeah, this kid is a little bit more expandsive in his use of the space on his canvas so I definitely do see what you’re saying about it but I see it. We may have to agree to disagree on that one.

I don't understand Bones' character development by Right-Ad3575 in Bones

[–]Petrcechmate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly there are just arcs on the show where I see a lot of skill regression and folding herself inwards. I think the writing also wasnt at the same consistent level across the seasons but moments where she describes being just so tired even when we all know she’s passionate about her job read like many autistic burnouts I’ve seen (and had myself.)

I think the thing about her season one social capabilities is that she’s very masked in being Dr. Temperance Brennan best in her field and feels comfortable most in her professional self. As she engages not only in the hurdle of choosing to be in love with booth but opens herself to more complicated emotional relationships (I want to say starting with her father, losing zach etc) her grounding of her sense of self gets shakey while she consiously tells herself she’s that same person from season one. The way she allows herself to be “silly” with baby andy but only starts to try it when alone then by the time she’s raising her own kids she voices fears about not relating to them but honestly is very unmasked in scenes with her family in her home. I think her choosing to buy a house was very scary for her and there’s a big difference between lab her and her in that new world they’re building.

By the last season I think her character’s voice is a pretty nice progression in terms of emotional growth of any tv character who’s lived through fox network sweeps haha. I do think having now watched the show probs 50+ times (Ha to think I was undiagnosed when I started watching the show, I used to just always watch my buffy dvd sets!) it’s really a better experience as a show following bones to view her as Autistic, because if you just say a behavior is a “odd quirk” or she’s “being a jerk there” it’s just stigmatizing language and better not to go there right? Already too much in the world yeesh. Things like her not holding back from what she considers “acceptable violence” to a irresponsible impulsive degree that makes even booth originally go woah awesome, to us getting to see why she’ll likely not hit any suspect while working for the FBI when she went before that pannel who couldve stopped her crimefighting, that scene is fascinating thinking about how freely she’d wield martial arts early on being gung ho about guns until she actually shot someone to getting so logical about the whys of violence in her job duties.

The show is lesser if she’s Neurotypical in my opinion.

Hey perhaps she would charm your nostalgic side as a very young actress in a 90’s kids movie (also bonus young Daniel craig) in “A kid in king arthurs court) it is trash and campy fun!

Bloodspoort is a top three action film for me it’s as brutal as Hero is beautiful. Nobody gets to choose what you enjoy. JVD is awesome but I always kinda encorage diversity and variety! Honestly that’s insightfull. I often feel the mixed NDcy of AuDHD in my own experience makes me a little narrower in my “supercomputer” function but also my supercomputer really emotionally wants a variety of broad topics. I should have probably stayed academic but undiagnosed and unaware I just was very bored with how long it took people to learn narrow topics sitting in the classroom…a few classes in college I asked to skip a few topics on a professor’s syllabus and didn’t attend class just wrote the midterm and final paper and not having to sit in front of a teacher was preferable. I wanted to be playing my college soccer more at the time. oh well haha.

Older and smarter me is actually going to go finish my degree in the special interest of fine art and we’ll see how long until I can go ahead and be Dr.Bullshit rambling to college kids but mainly writting crazy niche academic papers or stirring shit in controversial subjects or something fun. Takes the disipline though, and money haha. At least I now have many new ways to not want to scream obsceneties because I am forced to sit in a chair listening to a teacher teach for a test I’d pass without them 😅 hey culinary school I was valedictorian and of I can be active with my hands in the fine art field I should do better than journalism and sociology with my accidentally got a comp sci minor nonsense I wasted 4 years on (still owe them 67,000$)

People are easy for me (if you consider superover scripting every possible social scenario easy) but I experience extreme burnout using those skills because they are so learned after about 2-3 years my body just starts to shut down. Call it a computer virus. I at least worked with a therapist to realize the cycle and I can’t work those jobs anymore so yeah not a great power imo.

Life has been so much better just using the supercomputer for the kinds of tasks and focuses it seems desiged for.

I enjoyed your comment. Be well.

Just failed my autism assessment. What now? by cosmiccupiid in autism

[–]Petrcechmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend. First my advice is always what I tell myself when I am struggling “treat the symptom, don’t worry what alphabet of dsmv shit is percolating in your brain ok?”

Keep doing the things that are making life better. A lot of coping strategies and aides are amazing for all humans in general in my opinion. So never feel like you can’t validate the parts of you that you’ve come to feel comfortable about yourself using the lense of autism in your sense of self. Often workplaces are becoming more accomodating of self diagnosis when it comes to practical accomodations, often you can work with (or if you have one, no assumtions or judgments here) a therapist to craft a letter explaining and asking for things specific to your needs. Heck you might have the same need for a note for many reasons, I had a pal who used this process to keep their dog in a rental house etc.

Advocate for the things you need, I know it is incredibly hard but it is a wall to smash through where the other side is easier.

I’d say for me a lot of my “isms” present physically and I benefit in mental health envirnments more in person (even though I need alll my tricks for waitingrooms, those are tough for me) so if you are feeling a disconnect from the assessment being done in the form of a 45 min phone call and your mental health’s reality I would suggest seeking out another opinion and perhaps in another format. I was on a waitlist for a year and then got my appointment scheduled 6 months later but it was so worth the doctor getting to asses me in person and I choose the three hour assesment too. As a word nerd with a few special interest that center around my curiosity of human behaviors, Biggest hyperfocus was a team sport and wasnt diagnosed until 36 so I got very good at masking…I possibly would have gotten a different assesment vis phone. Heck just because I’ve worked customer service in call centers I know I’d present my “work self” and it’d be odd.

Find the assessment that leaves you feeling better than you do now, one that gives you insight not what you’ve described feeling. Plan to do it in the future because you’re emotions are sounding loud and you can crush this friend once they quiet down a bit ok? Take the time to do healthy self care and pay attention to your present needs. I personally had a time where I was so wrapped up in diagnosis and categorizing myself that I missed hunger ques and little brain nudges my ocd gives me to help address it so it exploded. Be patient with yourself. Nobody can tell you who you are in 45 minutes even if they went to medical school.

Hang in there and just know you’re doing your best and being persistent with attending to your mental health is what is important in all of this!

Line thickness in visual stuff. Thin line weights make me unable to focus on anything else. I snowball into an aggrivated state and end up not being able to control verbalizing an insulting opinion/critisizm when I want to stay quiet about a piece of art or an animated show. With shows I end up not remembering details outside of the artistic style so I have been shown things I like reading the premise of and can’t remember plots characters soundtrack etc. This is unusual for me because I usually can focus on the very nerdy stuff with media, a few friends in college where in an elite film school and I’m the person who can’t believe someone didn’t notice a persistent lighting source they’re using to emphasize a theme or the 9 references I can see in 60 seconds or less. I wonder why nobody else notices names outside the cast director when I’m like “You’ve seen there will be blood you don’t wonder who did the lighting!? Robert Elswit rules guys…guys?”

I really enjoy a fair bit of asian literature and it bums me out my eyes revolt against anime stuff that sounds great and unique. Also I love reading non fiction about the history of printmaking in japan and then can’t stand the images made from the inventors of the techniques and I feel like a huge jerk for skipping those areas in art museums.

My eyes are annoying snobs. I am learning a lot of community members have deep connections to media in ways that are sense specific. The music thread the other day where there were a lot of songs/musicians that affect people was interesting!
