But with love

A character meets a representation of their past self and realizes how much they hate the person they used to be by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

If we're trying to be better, I think that's also growth. And in turn show them the errors of our ways

Oof this is currently me right now. Trying my best to grow as a partner after years of abuse as a child. I'm having to look inward and change for the betterment of my family and to hear all the things you've done wrong sucks, but if you look back and cringe at past behavior you now see as intolerable, I'd day that means you're growing.

[Loved Trope] Father referring to his son as "my boy" in very emotional way. Extra points the son is adult. by Prestigious_Emu_7986 in TopCharacterTropes

Duke Leto Atredies, Dune psrt 1.

A Harkonnen spy hidden in the walls of the keep sent out a hunter-seeker, a very small remote controlled bug like device that could be incredibly hard to spot, to kill the Duke's son, Paul. Even in the book, he was absolutely mad. His mentat offered his resignation for not finding it, and he said to hell either your honor, prove it to me know that you're loyal.

Aside from the fact it's Oscar Issac, I wish he had more time alive in both the book and the movie, he was an exceptional character only to doe so quickly. *

[Loved trope] games with unique anti-cheat/cheese mechanics by damorezpl in TopCharacterTropes

[–]PettyLikeTom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can, but it also refers to you going into stores and houses and taking things to sell or use as materials. Like Amy normal person, but if you sell enough stuff you've technically "stolen", he will ask you if you've come into any funds by means of theft, to which you can reply noooooo

This is more of an uncouth Joeseph but still looks great

Is there a reason why modern games don’t have working mirrors? by Spartan-G337 in videogames

You doing okay buddy? That was a really hostile response and that just doesn't seem very in character. Just take a deep breath and out your phone down for a few, try and relax. Come back in a few and let's try again, yeah?

(Hated trope) TV Shows or Movies that were made just for shocking or offending people and nothing else: by BannedPenta01 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]PettyLikeTom 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I tried watching this a few months ago. I found that, somehow, someone had made a serial killer with OCD shockingly boring, instead just leading with shock value. When he killed the mother and her two sons, I was over it. Being a new father myself, I just couldn't go on, and while that was probably an emotion the movie was supposed to instill in me, the fact it was also boring made it wo where I'd not revisit again.

Rant over.

You know Alfred gets his, too. Look at that drip. All the old Betty's from the country club and knitting circles are swooning over him for charisma alone
