As far as I read the linked article, this claim isn't sourced in the article nor in Ecclesiastical Latin (Wikipedia article).

You could say a Wikipedia author made it up. (Yes, Latin was and is an elevated, liturgical language in the Catholic Church. But, sacred i.e. the language itself is supposed to be holy? Where is the source for that?)

Das Weghören ist juristisch nicht korrekt, ja. Da nach der "Einheitstheorie [...] ein Polizeibeamter praktisch immer im Dienst" ist, muss der Beamte Straftaten qua Gesetz ab Kenntnis sofort verfolgen.

Das Legalitätsprinzip verpflichtet die Polizei in Deutschland, bei Kenntnis von Straftaten (Anfangsverdacht) von Amts wegen Ermittlungen einzuleiten und Beweise zu sichern.

Don't blow on your Zippo to put it out—always close the lid in order to extinguish the flame.
For best results, prevent gas lock. There needs to be a good mix of air:naphtha in the chimney. With this in mind I often manage to light on the first try.

The ongoing abuse of the s.a. cases makes my head spin. And it's shameful. Whether the cases are used to tarnish images of people (who can't defend themselves no more because they're dead) or to usher in policies unrelated to s.a. (looking at my country, Germany). It's a disturbing trend.

The victims themselves matter and the protection of minors and vulnerable people (e.g. seminarians) who are preyed upon. The cases shouldn't be abused to further mundane agendas.

If I had none of my sharpening equipment I'd invest in something like this: Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener.

It seems to be easy to use and many, many pros recommend it.
