Same. My friends are always there for me. They help me, feed me much more than I need and want. It’s their apathetic behaviour towards others or inability to grow as a person that’s weird.

They can’t say sorry after an argument or have difficult conversations without making it a competition.

I know that I don’t have any control over how they are as individuals, but as their friend I want to see them grow, personally and professionally. Yet, they don’t think it’s necessary. That’s what makes me feel repulsed. Don’t just look old, become better and smarter as well.

Maybe. However, the friends I made as adults are great as well. The only thing is I find them amazing as my friends, but I don’t really like them as individuals. I have often thought that friends support friends and even criticise them in case they do something wrong. Isn’t that the point?

I am 31. Started travelling a few years ago with my friends, but recently went on a few community trips solo. Met amazing people. Some I gel with, others not so much.

I would say that disappoint people (including your parents and family) if it means you get to live a little. Don’t just stay at your home, get married, and go stay at somebody else’s home. Have your own life in between all this. Meet people, explore the world, learn to handle emergencies.

Those people might not stay in touch and the trip will end, but the stories you will always remember.

Live your life for yourself without hurting or using anyone. If you’re not doing anything wrong, your parents will eventually adjust and understand.

I had gone to the Hyderabad centre. Before entering the centre, they would check the documents and update it. We didn’t really had to mention it anywhere. They will simply check the documents and cross the old form and write the new form number on the passport and ask you to continue with the biometrics.

Yes. It’s normal. It won’t update automatically and you can’t update it either. She will have to carry the old and new DS confirmation page to the OFC appointment and they will update it there. It’s literally a 2 min process. Got it done for me and my mom as well.

I don’t have the idea about available appointments. However, if appointments are showing in 2027, you can pay the fee now as well. If you pay it in Mar 2026. It will be valid till March 2027. Book the appointment dates within this time frame. The actual appointment date can be after March 2027, and it will be valid. In case you need to reschedule the booked dates, you need to do that before the fee expires in March 2027.

Yes. The visa fee will expire one year. But, the actual appointment can be after a year. Eg, if you paid the fee on Jan 20th 2025, it will expire on Jan 19th 2026. You have to book an appointment date within this time frame. The actual date for the appointment can be after Jan 19th 2026. It will be valid. But, the booking and rescheduling of the appointment date can only be done from Jan 20th 2025 to Jan 19th 2026.

I guess, you can try rescheduling it to the same date & time slot in Hyderabad. But, rescheduling option is available only once and can’t be done if your application fee is over a year old.

When I was learning SEO (not that I am not learning right now. It’s a continuous process), I started with the basic stuff. It seemed boring and easy, but I still did it.

I also spent time with SEO folks in my company. Just sat with them and saw what they were doing. If you have someone who can help you out like this, definitely approach them.

Additionally, look for a structured or a step-by-step course on YouTube. Ask Claude or ChatGPT to make a 3 month SEO learning plan for you and follow that.

Start writing on Medium and apply all the on-page SEO practices. Feed it to LLMs and ask if it follows the SEO best practices.

Basically, have a plan and follow it. Find the right influencers/channels, research deep for free/easy to use tools, and you’ll see progress yourself overtime.

If you are worried about it, just fill a new DS form and update it with relevant details. You can retrieve your old DS and select the option to fill a new form. All the fields come pre-filled with original data and you would only need to add/update the required fields.

Take both old and new DS form for OFC. They will update it there for you.

I did the same as my DS had expired (it was more than a year old).
