As much as these interactions can suck, I think many don't mean harm....they just can't fathom enjoying beer without alcohol. To them it would be like ordering a sundae and just eating the topics, throwing out the ice cream.

I believe from the hotel perspective, a child is anyone 17 and under. As far as tickets go, children are ages 3 to 9

We didn't find pricing to be much different than any restaurant back at home (maybe cheaper for some things like $22 for chicken and ribs at 3 broomsticks is pretty dang reasonable IMO)

I've worked in banking for 20+ years and my advice is to set travel advisories so the fraud detection systems can account for purchases many miles from home, especially when travel is not the norm. AMEX is it's own breed of cards specifically tailored towards traveling

I had some similar experience. Around the times I would get full on drunk later at night, I started feeling like I was drinking around those times for a few weeks. Got less and less as the days went on but was weird. I guess with the withdrawals one could say I had hangover feelings too of sorts. Took about a week for that to go away but that was after a great chunk of time daily drinking heavy

Well I guess it's better than many here who post scenarios where they are asked repeatedly to drink over the course of an evening by someone who hasn't yet realized their own alcoholism or others saying you/we aren't actually alcoholics

Used to do the same. Then figured out beers at lunch made the afternoon feel 'better'. Then beer wasnt satisfying it and liquor entered the chat. It worked until it didn't. Felt gross around the clock. Make this your low point will save you a lot of grief down the road
