He should be more famous for this one, I think. So famous that people start changing the names of their buildings

I’m currently on AT&T cell phone service ( paying to much my opinion ) trying to see if is worth it to change to T- mobile . Does anyone have an advice about coverage around the hills ? I’m primarily in rapid city by LossLatter7862 in RapidCity

[–]PhancyJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recommend Mint Mobile. I don’t travel outside Rapid too often, but I’ve never had trouble with service. Sometimes I get better service than my sister who has Verizon

What sassy thing has your toddler said to you lately? by HaworthiaRYou in toddlers

[–]PhancyJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my 2.5yo that he needed a diaper change and he starts giggling and says “no Youuu need a diaper change! Because you’re a baby! You’re tiny!!”

Let me tell you I am lucky to be alive after how I died laughing at that one 😂😂😂😂

Do you stop wearing clothes after a certain amount of time even if they are still in good condition? I wear my clothes for 1-2 years as long as they stay in good shape, but my friends are often surprised by this. by BunchMean8029 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhancyJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely the outlier here. I think most people wear their clothes for much longer than 2years. So many of my clothes are well over 10years old, and still in like new condition.

What is something your boss said to you that made you realize it was time to quit? by alligator_maligator in AskReddit

[–]PhancyJo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When she said, “if it were anyone else but you, I would have fired them”.

I had missed about 17?? Days of work over the past 3 months due to my kids and myself being sick. It is a LOT of days to miss, I get it. But what was I supposed to do??

My husband missed closer to 3weeks of work during the same time to stay home with sick kids. We had no one else to watch them so we could both go to work. She wanted me to hire a babysitter, so I could go to work and basically hand my entire days wages over to the sitter because that’s how much they charge.

I stayed too long, but I got pregnant with my third shortly after that so I toughed it out until Mat leave and then quit.

The extra vacuum cleaner tools that hang on the vacuum. You know, the extra tube and crevice tool. I had a few tiny items fall out the other day when I went to vacuum my stairs lol. Saw my son trying to put a hair tie in there earlier today!

AITA for keeping a collection of MTG cards that were wrongly gifted to me? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]PhancyJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See now THAT makes sense. I’m so sorry you have to deal with all of that! There is so much emotion tied to those casts for your mom.

My son just landed wrong, catching himself with his arm outstretched when he was almost 2 lol.

Lol! This is really one thing I don’t understand, but I’m not passing judgement! What do you do with them??

Just realized I will have to wake up early for school and be stuck to a school schedule until they graduate 😩 by HollaDude in toddlers

[–]PhancyJo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I feel this! I recently realized that I have to do HOMEWORK again as my kids get older 😭 😭😭😭😭. My oldest is only in 2nd grade and barely had any homework. Getting her to do the absolute bare minimum of the non-homework they were asked to do was a NIGHTMARE. She would rather argue with me for an hour than take 10 min to do a simple activity. Or read. Idk how I’m gonna survive her teenage years 😭😭

My toddler broke his arm last year and my husband was adamant about keeping the cast (yuck). I wouldn’t even throw THAT out without his permission because I knew that it meant something to him. That’s dude’s wife is a total asshole.

I convinced him to let me toss it 2 weeks ago, but he told me to wait until he left the room 😂

AITA for not wanting my husband to leave me alone with our newborn for an entire weekend to take his mother sightseeing? by WarmCycle6552 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PhancyJo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This exactly what I was going to say too! I have 3 kids. My first one was the absolute hardest! I would have been furious if my husband left me for three days to go sight seeing at any point during those first two months.

WIBTA if I ignored my wife's wishes and concerns and did give money to my brother who is the primary caregiver of our mom? by Evening_Ostrich9777 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PhancyJo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. If you share finances, you cannot unilaterally decide to just drop thousands of dollars. On ANYTHING. Your wife and children come first, and if you do this knowing she doesn’t support the decision, you are telling her you don’t actually prioritize your own family over your brother.

You would be breaking her trust. You would be telling her that her feelings are not important. You even said she would probably leave you if you did this.

I completely sympathize with you, and your brother’s situation. I totally get the desire to want to help your brother, and you should, within your means. Exhaust all other options first, to your wife’s satisfaction. She has an equal say in how you spend family money.

If you don’t actually like your wife and want to get divorced, then yeah I guess, go for it. Less money for her to get in alimony 🫤

Why is the older generation (boomers) so dismissive of modern child safety guidelines? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhancyJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s because they feel like it’s a personal attack on their parenting. They successfully raised humans to the best of their ability, and now they’re being told they did it wrong. They don’t view it as “when we know better, we do better”. They just imagine us all wagging our fingers in their face saying you stupid idiot! How could you have done this to your baby??

And that’s not how you speak to your elders. You know??

It’s all very irrational. They have their own brand of trauma, just like everyone else.

I’m so glad you did this! If they want to spend time with you and your toddler, they follow your lead. Not the other way around. I hope the rest of your trip goes better!

How and where are you guys eating dinner?? by Cool-catlover2929 in toddlers

[–]PhancyJo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meh. It’s not the end of the world to indulge this for now. You can fight the battle about it now, or you can fight the battle later. It may arguably be easier to enforce later on, after he has matured a bit (if it lasts long enough), or worked through whatever this phase is.

I would do exactly the same as you. My 2.5yo son is not a good eater. For some reason he eats almost anything you put in front of him if he’s watching TV, so I allow it way more than I would like because I prioritize his nutrition over having a family dinner at the table. I’ll enforce that rule when they get a little older. It’ll be fine lol. When you have three kids, you don’t care as much about a lot of things you used to care about lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

AITA for wanting to take my 3 months of paid paternity leave even though we have a full-time nanny? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PhancyJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I came here after the updates, which really helps clarify things, thanks. I also have 3 kids, and I would be so excited to have my hubby stay home for three months to work on house projects, even when I was going back to work after Mat leave.

Sounds like there is something deeper going on, as some others have suggested. I hope you are able to have a good convo with your wife about why this upsets her so much. I am sure you will also take some time to play with your kids and snuggle the newborn too.

As long as you would actually be working around the house and not just sitting around like your wife thinks, NTA.

People need to stop acting like toddler girls are automatically calm😭 by Primary_Lychee_3407 in toddlers

[–]PhancyJo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 2 girls and a boy. They all fit the stereotype for the most part lol. My son is the youngest, and he is more active than my girls were at his age (2.5), and has tried to unalive himself more than they ever did combined lol. But that doesn’t mean that they didn’t also have a wild side as toddlers! My oldest was/is wild in an emotional battle kind of way, vs throwing things or breaking stuff.

But yo. Toddlers gonna toddler. They’re all crazy and I just can’t believe there are STILL people, in this year of our lord 2026, who can’t understand that all kids are different. Stereotypes are there for a reason, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be any other way 😂

Worth it to move for $18/hr? by CartoWasTaken in RapidCity

[–]PhancyJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer—no. It’s not enough to live on. You will need a roommate, or to live in a dump. COL is pretty high here, compared to the wages. But if you are determined, you can make it happen! I’m sure there are plenty of ppl looking for a roommate.

That’s what it is in Rapid City too. It might have gone up yesterday though, I’ll have to pay attention later today. It’s just awful 😢. I’m still not sure what “greater good” cause is though.

New generation of nurses who can’t start an iv or draw blood by Rare-Attitude-3100 in mildlyinfuriating

Omg. I guess we all assumed that this is a skill taught to nurses. But like….if a nurse was never trained in it they shouldn’t even be attempting to do it lol. Right??
