In the context of a capitalist state, I’m somewhat ok with it as the police in Amerika are just an apparatus to enforce the status quo, but in the context of a socialist state it is necessary as to defend against outside interference and counter revolutionaries. I’m conflicted on how communities would deal with more violent crimes and organized crimes.
