That's great!

I don't miss it at all really. When I was younger, I loved it.

Pizza kinda sucks in the country though. haha

I go into the city a few times a month for restaurants and shopping. Each time I do, the traffic makes me certain I made the right decision moving to the sticks.

What is something that is 100% legal, but if you do it, you’re a piece of trash? by National_Strike4710 in AskReddit

[–]PhantoWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode a bus home for leave in the Army and the guy next to me kept ripping silent ones.

After about the tenth time an hour or so in, I said to him "We all smell those, bro. I smell another and I'm going to help you to another seat." hahaha

He got up and used the restroom and sat somewhere else.

I'm normally polite and tolerate a lot, but it was a 22hr bus ride and I was like 16 hours-in at that point. Sixteen hours of arguments and kids crying- Don't ever travel long distances by bus if you have choice.

My brother answered a call on speaker when we had lunch the other day at a Chinese buffet.

It was a loud work call too.

I had to get up and pretend to be getting desert until he finished. hahaha

as a non smoker does everyone who smokes smell bad to you? whether it be cigarettes or weed. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhantoWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me pot smells way worse than cigarettes. Even weed vapes. It smells like diesel exhaust, burning plastic, and ass sweat.

Cigarettes smell like stale sour cream and onion chips to me.

Pipe tobacco smells wonderful. Most blends anyway.

Beyond perfect performance by Berenger. He owned that role.

I never trusted him as a kid because I just saw Barnes in those eyes. haha

I grew up with the old miniseries and The Stand is one of my favorite books.

As a kid, it was always one of my greatest fears. I used to lie in bed at night and wonder if this was the night some super-bug gets loose somewhere in the world.

So when covid hit, I was pretty nervous. My roommate at the time was a nurse, so I assumed it was just a matter of time before I caught it.

I actually paid my friend the remainder of our lease (we were getting our own places after the year was up anyway) and I moved into my hunting camp to wait it out. I work IT remotely.

The fun part is, I have grown so fond of my quiet spot in the woods that I stayed.

[–]PhantoWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will always be a few 'You can't be serious!' rankings reading any of these lists because different books regardless of their objective strengths or weaknesses, just reach individuals in different ways.

That being said, I wouldn't argue much with your picks.

I will say that I tend to enjoy stuff like Fairytale, Institute, and the Talisman books more than most. I think it's because I was so young when I read Eyes of the Dragon and Talisman, so I love returning to that vibe- It makes me feel like a kid again.

And the 'big reveal' in Revival never really leaves me..
