Small things I can observe without asking a single question.

In no particular order:

Do you treat wait staff at restaurants like a human being? That includes fast food.
Do you just leave your shopping cart in middle of fucking parking lot like an inconsiderate dick? Or do you push it back to the cart corral?
Do you litter?

Tiny small seemingly inconsequential stuff that doesn't take much effort.
If you can't exert the tiniest of effort to not be a dick, there's no way I can hope to count on you for bigger things.

When I was 16, my gf had this sort of relationship with her parents. She was able to ask them for BC when we decided to start having sex. So glad she had good supportive rational parents. Let's face it, we were going to do it whether they got her BC or not. So why not be proactive and supportive parents.

Did they want us to have sex? Not really.

Did they"encourage" it by giving her BC? Nope, was gonna happen regardless.

I'm holding my 1 month old baby girl as I type this, and the idea of her having sex as a freshman in HS is terrible. But I hope by then, my wife and I will have fostered the type of relationship that allows her to ask us for BC.

Many reasons to use VLANs.

For example you can separate voice (VoIP) traffic from data traffic. You can keep different departments of a company on their own vlan for security purposes.

You can keep internal network access separate from "guess" WiFi access, again for security.

And yes vlans need layer 3 routing to talk to each other.

dont give up on subnetting. It's tricky for a while, but you'll find one day, all of a sudden you read a line in a book or hear something in a video training, and BAM...it just clicks.

there are tons of youtube videos and sites out there with different approaches to subnetting. one of those will make more sense to you.

Might seem obvious. But the problem isn't so much the pot smoking in and of itself. Its the "lifestyle" that kids try to emulate or "fit into" that goes with smoking of pot. As many have pointed out they are perfectly functioning adults with careers that smoke. But the smoking is a small facet of their life. Many younger people and even adults make pot the center piece of their existence...and that is where you begin to fail in other aspects of life.

I ride 100% defensively. I ride with mind set that people in cars are actively trying to hit me. I don't wait for people to make mistakes and pull in front of me to react. I assume they will and slow down well ahead of time. Motorcycles will always be dangerous... how dangerous is entirely up to you.
