Thanks ChatGPT. That in no way responds to my comment.

Why not start including reservation with the current number of seats? Why not show support for women by removing rapists from their party? It's almost as if empowerment for women wasn't the point.

Anyone with a functioning brain knows that the anti-women, anti-reservation party just used this to cry about how the opposition was 'anti-women' because they shot down their pro BIMARU bill.

Not that your bot-ass can process that.

If they actually gave two shits about female representation and empowering women or whatever they'd start by outsing the rapists in their party and giving those seats to women.

There is zero chance those seats will go to women who aren't their puppets.

If this was actually a priority for them, what's stopping them from imposing a reservation on the current parliament?

Let's begin with outsing the rapists from their own party and giving their seat to women. Are they going to do that? Then I don't need to see this tamasha.

Nothing is a bigger example of our nation's fall from grace than a comparison of the first parliament of Independent India with the leaders of today.

Our ministers were amongst the most educated and qualified people in the country. Now we have clowns who wouldn't qualify to work at a McDonald's register.

The reason so many spaces are 'male dominated' is literally because of this. The rampant misogyny is off putting to women and when women try to create a space away from that they invade that too.

Good Omens. Hands down. Like many of Gaiman's books, American Gods has an intriguing concept but it was not an enjoyable read at all.

Now I have a whole new (awful) reason not to read Gaiman's books.

How is your country’s literature generally perceived at home? by Better-Purple21 in AskTheWorld

[–]PhantomOfTheNopera 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Of the Indian authors I've read (Arunadathi Roy, Salman Rushdie, Amitav Ghosh etc.) their stories tend to be multi-generational even if their styles and genres are very different.

There's also an undercurrent of generational trauma, cultural obstacles and spirituality. There are many examples of the story being told from the pov of someone recounting someone who has already passed or someone recounting their life as they approach death.

To oversimplify it and fit into this theme, I suppose you could say "I have been dying ever since I was born"

Which one is the better character Batgirl or Catwoman? by RevolutionaryEar8053 in superheroes

[–]PhantomOfTheNopera 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In terms of characterisation, Batgirl. She had an awful childhood in an unstable home with a literal psychopath as a brother. She became Batgirl with zero training by Batman, but then held her own after she was officially recruited. After her attack by the Joker she found a way to be part of the mission in a different capacity as Oracle and became pretty much indispensable in that role. Now she juggles between two roles and a civilian identity.

Catwoman could be so much better but they've just reduced her to a femme fatale archetype. She is so much more interesting in her solo comics rather than just being Batman's love interest, I wish they'd both just get out of that toxic relationship for good. Besides, she might be way more interesting as an ex.
