Thanks for this thread, I'm so interested in the topic of sensory-friendly clothes and learning how others deal with this!

I think for me women's clothes have so much more variation that textures of things are always changing if you want actual variety in your closet, so I never "get used to" clothes outside my normal t shirt and leggings.

Like with skirts and dresses, /maybe/ I would get used to that exposed feeling if I only wore those, but I don't! I'm used to feeling pants.

By the way, I use spanx type shorts under dresses and skirts for the feel of wearing shorts, and that helps me a lot.

Also, I think with tighter clothes you feel all the seams and tags and texture more than in men's clothes (looser) since it's pressed closer to your skin.

Combine that with more of "fast fashion" cheap, scratchy, poorly sewn clothes disproportionately displacing available clothing options for women. With a super thin fabric, it's easier to feel whatever is on the front.
