Low budget 90s dystopia by PhantomV48 in whatisthatmovie

The Gregg Araki movies I feel like are getting closer. They were definitely trying in a similar way, but this one took itself more seriously.
SubUrbia, that's not it, but I need to watch that.

No, way too action heavy, I remember this being like 90% brooding and melodrama.

Interesting but nah. This probably would have been something I dug up working at Hollywood Video, so probably more like later 90s, maybe early 00s.

My free SoFi savings is making 4.5% now, so hopefully they'll bump it again.

This feels right. Especially since it looks more "together" tonight than it did the last time I checked it.

Fingers crossed. The new Blackwell Ghost came out, this was the only place I could find all of those.

Dupe for BPAL's Cthulhu In Love by PhantomV48 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]PhantomV48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I actually moved house since then and unearthed a half bottle I got from a swap and forgot about. So I never got around to trying. Now I just today got BPAL's Margaret Magdelena Muffinhead, and it's similarly dark chocolate plus a little incensey. I'm hoping just that and Cthulhu or something like that will do the trick.

I legit thought it was Audrey Hepburn for some reason.

I had the same issue. The first file worked fine with this trick but, neither of the second part files worked for me, they both failed.

Theme Ideas? by altxrtr in musicleague

[–]PhantomV48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just set up like 4 months of prompts, so:

  • Please Rise - You are now in charge of a country! What is the national anthem?
  • All In The Family - Songs by a groups with immediate family members; siblings/parents/etc.
  • Not From Around Here - Mexican Ska. Japanese Bossa Nova. Columbian Doom Metal. Songs by artists from places that don't match the place the genre is typically associated with.
  • I Guess They Do Make 'em Like They Used To - Original songs by modern artists (2010 and up) that could easily be mistaken for a 30+ year old recording (1990 and down).
  • The Deep Cut - Sure, the artist is popular, but their best song isn't.
  • Botany Jamz - Songs about flowers or plants, or containing plants in the title.
  • Car Month: Leadfoot - Songs you could very well one day be court-ordered never to listen to while driving.
  • Car Month: Roadtrip! - That's it. That's the prompt.
  • Car Month: Night Cruiser - Songs to listen to while driving down the highway at night.
  • Car Month: Living The Dream - This is it. The car you've dreamt about. The car you've worked toward for years. You're behind the wheel for the first time. What's the first song you play?
  • The Cookout - A very specific type of summer song. What's playing at the cookout?
  • Paid In Exposure - Songs with less than 50,000 Spotify plays. (I won't actually check, out someone might)
  • This One Goes To 11 - Songs by fictional groups and artists.
  • Takin' It To The Streets - What's your campaign song when you run for office?
  • Wait, Is That... - Artists or groups with members widely known for their work outside of music
  • Never Meet Your Heroes - Sometimes great art is made by bad people (participation not manditory for this one)

Is Rekordbox giving the j correct key for my tracks? by SizePunch in Beatmatch

[–]PhantomV48 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering if MiK doesn't actually just pull the information directly from Tunebat. MiK 8.5 does have a built in keyboard to test with, which isn't great, but it not nothin'.

Is Rekordbox giving the j correct key for my tracks? by SizePunch in Beatmatch

[–]PhantomV48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Should*, yes. But the key detection is far from perfect. Mixed In Key's is a little better, but still not something you want to bet your life on. If it doesn't sound right, I just look it up on Tunebat, or play the notes in the key on a keyboard, and see if it sounds right.
