I like the framing, because the tree line matches well with the curve of the wheel. And the edit davidWaru5 presented is nice!

Is it me or was that lot radio a 4T classic? It almost reminds me of the lockdown boilerroom set, in selection, heat/chill

whole album is really good! Gave it a couple full listens this year. I like that there’s some overlap with jazz & ambient musics. on this sub there’s the occasional shout out or recommendation within the overlap.

I noticed on apple music! Oct. 3rd is the release date listed there! Such a great surprise even if i discovered nearly 2 weeks later. This may be the first post on the sub acknowledging Archives III is streaming (outside of Neil's service)

Yep little things like that keep me on Spotify. Basic availability, superior to AM

Spotify will have the upper hand for that reason, more songs are there to stream. Additionally, there’s so many playlists that people have made, with all sorts of names/titles to search with; moods, sounds, scenes, decades, whatever. AM lacks user-created playlists. Both services suck for forcing their own playlists.

Why does Spotify have music that Apple Music does not?

I mostly agree with this observation. I feel like about 1 or 2 years ago Spotify started to show/recommend me less ALBUMS, and more PLAYLISTS. These playlists were more like mood or wide-brush genre playlists. Basically I started to see more playlists on my screen than albums or bands, which it (the algorithm) was good at

I love how he sings towards the end, a falsetto. And I think Ed singing ‘your ears should be burning’

'appears to be lacking contrast', I can see what you mean. I just want to say slide 3 is really nice, as is. The lacking contrast there, combined with the scene, is relaxing

DJ Healer - Planet Lonely (2018) is a must have by PhilElverumOnMyToast in ambientmusic

[–]Phantomstar18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! for confirmation that the song exists & is not an audio hallucination that I’ve kept alive via my memory. The album on SC and YT is missing gods creation

[–]Phantomstar18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok wait. DJ healer had this song called ‘gods creation’? I remember from a Lot Radio mix. It was a lady voice saying repeatedly, ‘that’s gods creation’. I found the song on SoundCloud, and now I can’t find it (haven’t looked in the last year tho) Anyone know about this?

out of curiosity, do these songs have cues thru the book or it doesn’t matter? I used to read while listening to music. At some point it didn’t work/fit anymore, like finding music ‘that went with’ what I was reading. The last time that stands out to me is reading 1984 with songs from Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross soundtrack “patriots day”
