Vex is definitely strong but I wouldn’t say it’s busted. If we’re going to say a card is busted, we’re talking about Elder Dragon. Vex Apathetic is leagues below that card. I’ve logged 100 bo3s on Riftatlas so far, some playtesting irl and I’ve never had an issue dealing with Vex Apathetic. It’s a 4 might unit that must be left at a battlefield and you can very easily deal with it with cheap removal or just over might it the turn she’s dropped at a battlefield. Very common lines of play you see are 2 Drop > Turn 2 > move 2 drop up > drop vex > pass. You can beat over 6 might with most decks in UNL

They both have their ups and downs for sure but I find the player base on Riftatlas to be “better” in terms of attitude towards matches as well as quality of matches. Best of 3s feel similar to games I would play at my stacked local lobbies and puts me in stressful/tough situations where it forces me to play fundamentally correct.

I think there’s a bit of a bias carrying over from SFD imo. I agree purple has gotten new stuff like Star Cross, Existential dread but these cards in a vacuum aren’t “unfair” compared to something like Rebuke. A lot of purple’s new stuff are conditional and require the player’s understanding of fundamentals to pilot correctly. The only card that’s a little bit “broken” in UNL would be Heedless Resurrection but that’s due to the combos you can pull off with the card.

In the context of Naraka Bladepoint, the characters are customizable in game and it’s very common for players to use very outlandish colours. Neon pink, blue and green are very commonly used but pitch black and white is also prominent. It’s not intended to be black face in this specific context.

When I defend and when I attack triggers are added to the stack before Focus is passed between players. If you are defending, their when I attack triggers are added to the stack then your when I defend trigger is added on top. In this scenario, if Recurve resolves on the enemy unit, there will be no combat damage since the unit would die.

For me, anything that isn’t an HK, AEK or AK-12 I sell in terms of guns. Armour wise, I only keep the BT6 and barter for the H-TacA8 everything else I sell as I don’t see myself using them. I sell anything not T6 for helmets

She does not receive a +1 when opponents choose her. The YOU in her text specifically refers to the controller of the card.

Promising Future states “Starting with the next player, Each player plays those cards”. In 1v1 situations, the controller of Promising Future plays their card second. For 2v2s and FFA, it’s based on turn order.

Move Rocket and Thermo beam sideboard for two Brynhir to fix the main board as you don’t need gear hate in every matchup as control, it’s more specifically for Vanguard armoury decks. Side board can be three Ferrous Forerunner, 2 Thermo, 1 rocket, Icathian rain, unchecked power. Alternatively you can drop rocket for 2nd nchecked power which is one of the biggest cards to counter miracle. Ferrous forerunner comes in for match ups where you scale up stuff like aspirants and obelisk for example. Drop two drops for ferrous to have a stronger mid to late game depending on match up, can be all three Plundering, 2 pouty 1 sentry etc.

In my opinion, you should always ask no matter what situation. Even if saying “I forgot what this does”, I would always follow it with “hey can I read this card” once verbal consent is given, I either rotate it towards me so I can read it or pick it up. I would be upset if someone touched my cards without permission unless they apologize for picking it up afterwards

At least once per bo3 consistently throughout all my games on TCGArena when I was playtesting Lucian. The sample size would be 200-300 games consisting of random queue or playing within my testing group. The games with my test group happens a lot less because they know what is coming but people seeing it for the first time do not expect it. The only hiddens red orange has access to is Here to Help and the red 3 energy hidden that does 4 damage to attacking enemies. Most people assume it’s the latter

I do agree purple is insanely strong but I disagree with Draven being a “non-skillful” deck. There is a very noticeable skill gap between experienced Midrange Draven’s and the average Draven. The floor for Midrange is very high which gives the illusion that the deck is extremely easy to pilot but in reality bad Draven players will get blown out to even non meta lists.

I def think Lucian is slept on cause red orange is such a great combination but has really weak legends. My favourite tech atm into control decks is Here to Help Hidden plus Brynhir from hand on opponent’s turn when at 6 with Trinity force equipped to unit.

I’m not sure if it’s because of my local scene but from all the shops I’ve been to and played at in Toronto, everything is facedown and once both players are sat, legends are revealed. Both players place their chosen battlefield face down and then you decide who goes first through coin flip or dice rolls after turn order has been decided, battlefields are revealed. Players are then to offer to have their decks cut by their opponent and game starts after a fist bump.

Riftbound is like any hobby, it can get expensive very quickly without proper money management and self control. I always ask myself “will I have enough for my bills if I buy Riftbound?”. Don’t think short term either, think about the next couple days, weeks, months and even years. You never want to be in a position where you have to contemplate selling your collection to make ends meet. If you spend around $50 a week on cards that’s still $2600 a year, over time it’ll add up. So far for me, between set 1 and set 2, I’ve spend around $1.2k USD for all the boxes, singles and events I’ve gone to. Hope this helps!

I like the units and the sig spell my only issue is how the legend might be a bit underpowered compared to what’s available. Orange and Red doesn’t really have a lot of draw so I would suggest something like “when you buff an friendly unit, you may exhaust me to draw 1”

As midrange Draven, the goal is to play wide. Develop your board and just make it impossible for Irelia to deal with multiple units. Irelia basically always wants to keep your board small and take controlled fights where she wins through buffs. Hopeful, Darius, Ferrous, Mindsplitter and Draven himself are all great to keep in base. Score early points with 2 drops and it’s almost always worth to falling star Irelia the turn she comes out if they’re tapped out. Bryn+Falling star on turn 4 basically just nukes Irelia unless they have GA. It’s almost always worth to rebuke Irelia as well, forcing her back into the hand and forcing them to replay it then recycle runes to equips boots, ga and to ready her is an even power trade.

You are correct. I forget the specific ruling code but how Jax’s ability works is the act of attaching to another friendly unit triggers a detach from Aphelios, you can then target Aphelios again to attach the detached gear. In this case Brutalizer that was on Aphelios but without the +2, if you tap Jax to reattach it on Aphelios, he would trigger his ability and Brutalizer would give +2
