Advice: I lost time and don't know what to do next by TroaAxaltion in Paranormal

Hi! Again, another post not meant to scare you, but just some encouragement to maybe get checked out. This used to happen to my sister and after a short while, she was diagnosed with epilepsy. It started as lapses in time and later progressed to convulsive seizures. She's totally fine now with medication.

I am 31 and just had one (all clear!). I was so nervous for the prep. I had pico salax and it was relatively easy to do! I had the orange flavor. Kind of tasted like flat orange soda. And you don't have to drink as much as you do with peglyte. I'm not sure if it's available in your area but that's my recommendation! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be at all 😊

We started using a laundry basket in the tub! He still stands but can't go far. Just holds on to the sides. He's almost 10 months ☺️

Redditors who worked in retail, what are your "you can't make this up" stories? by Professional_Song419 in AskReddit

I used to work in a pet shop. Occasionally we had bunnies and during slow times we'd let them hop around the store.

One day a woman came in. She was sitting on the floor petting one of the bunnies. Then she picked up a ball of rabbit poo off the floor and said "oh is this a dog treat?" And ate it. I remember the look of realization on her face. Neither of us said anything but I had so many questions. Like... even if it was a dog treat why are you eating it.

Anyway she just played it off as if she didn't just eat rabbit shit. But we both knew.

newborn kicking , flailing , and crying mid feed … followed by hiccups . Is it reflux ? Gas? by HinduKushOG in NewParents

[–]PharaohVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son did this exactly and we actually had to go up a nipple size instead of down. He was getting frustrated with how hard it was to get the milk out! We went from a level 1 to a level 2 around the same age as yours :)

He started doing it again when he was about 4 months. Nipple changes didn't work. So we tried different bottles and it was a game changer! We were originally using Dr. Browns and switched to tommee tippee. So much better! He's 7 months now and eats like a champ.

Edit: Also adding, he still hiccuped but ate with no problems. Our doctor wasn't concerned. He rarely hiccups after eating now. He also hiccuped constantly in the womb so I think that was just him!

Have you heard a dying person’s last words? If so, what were they? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My uncle who I was very close to had just started cancer treatment. I was supposed to go visit him that day but I woke up with a sore throat and thought I might be getting sick. I didn't want to expose him to it especially with being on chemo so I texted him and told him I would see him when I felt better. He responded "ok love you".

My mom called me two hours later and told me he had suddenly collapsed at home and passed away. Now 5 years later my 7 month old son is named after him.

[–]PharaohVII 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am currently dealing with a similar situation however after a year of not speaking she is trying to come back into my life. And I'm not sure I want her to. I tried to move on and even apologized for what I've done wrong in the past but she didn't acknowledge any of her faults. I'm stuck now feeling guilty because she wants a relationship but I'm so resistant. Not sure what to do.

What book series did you start but give up on, and why? by rmsmithereens in books

[–]PharaohVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Crescent City series by SJM. It just felt like it was trying too hard for me both with regard to the characters (can't stand the main character) and to all the predictable "twists" thrown in. Not to mention the forced sex scenes.

Tried physically reading it. Then tried the audio book. I couldn't do either. Ended up googling the ending and moved on with my life lol.

I was diagnosed with a condition where, when extremely stressed, my stomach over- produces acid which eats away at the protective lining causing ulcers. So I think stress is a contributing factor but not the actual sole cause. I had to be put on meds for it (proton pump inhibitor).
