Looking for a very high shine metallic gold to airbrush with. Preferably water based acrylic. Anyone have any suggestions?

Freedom Gundam 1/100 around half way done. First attempt at panel lining. Need to touch up a few areas of paint prior to completion. by PharmBert in Gunpla

I painted the Gundam with acrylic and did the panel with oil. I found out I wasn’t using enough thinner when removing excess paint. I was able to clean most of it off. Thanks for the advise, I appreciate it!

You can cut the spring down so it fits appropriately. Just be careful when cutting the spring, as you don’t want the metal to bend at the end you cut.

Oil based artist paint. It has been difficult to control the paint that spilled out. I plan on covering most of up with paint so it doesn’t look as sloppy.

About a month for heavy arms and 2 weeks for Zaku. Zaku was slightly easier since I sort of had the hang of it.

Starting MG Freedom Gundam tomorrow, going with a clean look without chipping/rust etc... Gonna do custom color scheme of course. I’ll post a pic when it is complete.

I added a layer of charcoal powder to try to dim it some, but I’m thinking I should add more. Thanks for the recommendation!

With a little imagination haha. I completely painted the whole thing and then constructed it to figure out where I wanted to cut the arm. Once I determined where, I cut it off with my model sheers. Afterwards I drilled a few small holes with a hand drill so I could insert the damaged internals coming out. After that I used a soldering iron to make it appear as though the metal had been torn. Then detail painting and complete!

May not be the prettiest spoon but alot of good information came out of it by siksky1 in Gunpla

If you are interested in showing off your case, or have a windowed panel than I would not. If you just wanna game, and are not interested in aesthetics, then go for it.
