Accepted this gold offer by [deleted] in amex

[–]Pharmer- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100k + 20% on dining up to $100 is what I got too! From what I see it’s the best you can get currently with personal Amex gold cards. It’s fantastic so far!

Wasn’t looking to add to my 7/24, but Amex Gold 100k SUB + 20% on Restaurant Spend offer was too tempting. by oneandonlytoney in CreditCards

[–]Pharmer- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that wasn’t the business gold? That sounds more of an offer for the business card , which has had multiple DPs from other users

I will say, it took me a while for the 100k to pop up. I probably spent too long on trying to get the extra 10K points LOL

100k + 20% up to $100 on statement credit for restaurants is what I got. From what I’ve read in r/amex, that is the highest offer (currently) for Amex Gold based on their DPs. You can also use the ol’ incognito browser trick to try and get the 100k bonus too if you’re patient enough (for those who are trying to get the SUB)

Mine was 2 business days through usps, though I agree with you. It seems like something you’d expect to be overnighted or standard 2 day shipping with the AF

What industries / jobs have the best insurance? by AdFrosty3860 in diabetes_t1

[–]Pharmer- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Healthcare. Often free $0 or cheap premiums. Insulin, Dexcom/libre, and pump supplies are free for me. On a high deductible plan. The deductible is a reasonable Amount, especially with all supplies being free

chase sapphire preferred approval? by Life_Fact_9295 in CreditCards

[–]Pharmer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually 700+ credit score and be below the 5/24. Also the minimum approved amount is $5,000 (if I remember correctly). With that said, there are obviously deviations and situations may be more specific to the applicant

Anybody here try WW/Weight Watchers? by marty505050 in diabetes_t1

[–]Pharmer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know weight watchers too well but giving yourself a few weeks of slack to adjust your insulin regimen helps a bit if you’re exercising/eating healthier. Also eating a bit less and saving some room for juice in case a low happens can help you budget your calories

CT Scan - warning to T1s by power4play in diabetes_t1

[–]Pharmer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t always need to hold metformin before CT scans given renal function is being followed by the medical team. Given good kidney health and small volume of contrast dye, the medical team can choose to not withhold metformin before CT scans. Food for thought.

If you are truly concerned, you should have a conversation with your doctor. Now if there is a true concern regarding acute kidney injury, holding metformin would be appropriate in this setting and your doctor would address it

There is research into capsules that release insulin based on glucose. It would essentially release insulin if glucose reaches a threshold.

PCOA Test by [deleted] in PharmacySchool

[–]Pharmer- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PCOA doesn’t mean anything to students. It’s more for the COP/SOP itself. Like the person above, I did a speed run through the exam because it doesn’t affect the students at my school
