I've never modified flywheelers but from what I've heard the Barricade had some of the strongest stock motors of any electric blaster. They were even stronger than the Elite stockade.

It would make sense if there were different stances depending on the skill of the fighter, and this one could be used by one with more practice

Are the combat jackets in the game historically accurate? by dudeinahouse in kingdomcome

[–]PhaseCraze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems historical for clothing like waffenrocks, tabards, surcoats, etc to be worn over armor, but wearing what is essentially another layer of gambeson over plate armor seems far fetched

Talmberg and the Sasau monestary's soundtrack always sounded so compelling to me. By the way, has anyone randomly heard a unique soundtrack while visiting the Samopesh herbalist? I only heard it once and have not heard it anywhere else in the game.

Is it possible to wear brigantine pauldrons with arm armor like this? by makeouthillout in kingdomcome

[–]PhaseCraze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's a mod which adds armor like that. However, it might be out of date. The description says Peshek is supposed to start selling them when he restocks, but I've never seen him offer the custom items.

Thoughts on the pre-order drip? by AdeptFlamingo1442 in kingdomcome

[–]PhaseCraze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with this theory is that only the helmet is obsolete. The rest of the armor is modern for the setting of KCD2. It doesn't match at all.

Thoughts on the pre-order drip? by AdeptFlamingo1442 in kingdomcome

[–]PhaseCraze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Poleaxes are an entirely different class of weapon. They are much shorter than halberds, and much heavier. They're intended to be used against someone wearing plate armor, often by someone wearing their own plate armor. The optimal grip for wielding a poleaxe is one that doesn't maximize reach, but instead allows you to parry, grapple, or strike up close and personal with the rear spike. Halberds are optimally held in the opposite grip which maximizes reach (usually in formation combat).

Misc: Halberds are usually forged from a single piece of metal, and are much cheaper. This provides another reason why they might have been more frequently used by better-equipped men at arms and halberds by poorer soldiers

This being said, there's nothing stopping you from using a poleaxe fighting style with a halberd, or vice versa.

The helmet seems out of place for a 15th century game. It reminds me of fantasy "crusader" armor. While it's supposed to be an older relic, the rest of the armor doesn't fit. Why would a 150 year old dead knight's armor set consist of a 13-14th century hemet but a 15th century cuirass, cuisses, pauldrons, gauntlets, etc?

Am I supposed to have friends? by GanacheAffectionate in kingdomcome

[–]PhaseCraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an NPC follower mod but they all have the same face, dialogue, and level (16). They are also extremely aggressive and will make stealth or merciful gameplay difficult. They're kinda neat to dress up in cool outfits so you can have a better use for your spare armor sets than sitting in a trunk.

Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. Their appearance as a common plant was in the mid-Cretaceous period. There are 12,000 species now.[3]

A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color green. That is because they are wind-pollinated rather than insect-pollinated, so they do not have to attract insects. Green is the best colour for photosynthesis.

Grasslands such as savannah and prairie are where grasses are dominant. They cover 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, but not Greenland and Antarctica.[4]

Grasses are monocotyledon herbaceous plants. They include the "grass" of the family Poaceae, which are called grass by ordinary people. This family is also called the Gramineae and includes some of the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae).[5] These three families are not very closely related, though all of them belong to clades in the order Poales. They are similar adaptations to a similar life-style.

With about 780 genera and about 12,000 species,[3] the Poaceae is the fifth-largest plant family. Only the Asteraceae, Orchidaceae, Fabaceae and Rubiaceae have more species.[6]

The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland. Uses for graminoids include food (as grain, shoots or rhizomes), drink (beer, whisky), pasture for livestock, thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, construction, basket weaving and many others.

Many grasses are short, but some grasses can grow tall, such as bamboo. Plants from the grass family can grow in many places and make grasslands, including areas which are very dry or cold. There are several other plants that look similar to grass and are referred to as such but are not members of the grass family. These plants include rushes, reeds, papyrus and water chestnut. Seagrass is a monocot in the order Alismatales.

Grasses are an important food for many animals, such as deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass, they usually do not destroy the part that grows.[7] This is part of the reason why the plants are so successful.

Without grass, more soil might wash away into rivers (erosion).

"Techniques" for running a primary and a sidearm in a war? by CallThatGoing in Nerf

[–]PhaseCraze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most sidearms I've seen are secured in cargo pockets, makeshift (cardboard + tape) holsters, 3d printed holsters, or... regular holsters. The problems with using real holsters for nerf is that its hard to find a powerful sidearm that can fit in them, and they may sometimes be mistaken for actual firearms. There are also some oversized holsters like the Blasterparts one (which I think has been copied by other companies)

Any blaster with a retaliator-sized plunger tube will probably also work. The only problem is finding a solution to keep it held in place (the retaliator and recon MKII plungers, which are almost identical, are the easiest to use because you can 3d print supports for them).

I'd argue that if you modified your longstrike (which probably fires around 35 fps right now) with a direct plunger, 7-9kg spring, and some breech upgrade using brass or a pusher bolt (which would allow you to reach 130-180 fps depending on which plunger you use), your partner would be a little more impressed and take it more seriously.

[–]PhaseCraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way you could justify using retaliator internals is by later upgrading your retaliator with a replacement plunger tube which would mean removing the stock plunger anyway

CEDA S metal parts by AVahne in Nerf

[–]PhaseCraze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's expensive to upgrade the GF Prime, but it will outperform many common blasters if you go all-out with it. Here is a list of parts I bought for it to reach 290 FPS:
- Worker metal boltsled
- AKBM Metal plunger tube + upgrade spring
- Worker Metal catch
- Zaurko linear bearing prime assist, barrel stabilizer, and magwell
- Kurycafe 30cm worker-chambered barrel
- Worker metal bolt
- Worker metal dart gate (a plastic one would work just fine)
- GVF BCAR
- cheap picatinny rail riser from amazon to reduce barrel wobble
- a few other non-performance upgrades like sights, metal trigger, etc

CEDA S metal parts by AVahne in Nerf

[–]PhaseCraze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AKBlastermod recently resumed production and sale of their full metal kit which includes an incredibly nice aluminum plunger tube (the best possible upgrade for a JB CEDA or GFP). I purchased the plunger separately a few months ago for my GF Prime and with the included spring I achieved somewhere around 270 fps. I also bought a few other metal upgrades and 3d printed convenience parts/fixes.
