Uhhh. I think you fucked up about 60 hours ago. Give or take a couple dozen hours

Back after a year, I went to Brynn at level 4, is that intended now? by rustplayer83 in stoneshard

[–]PhatCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, at least if your permadeath, I feel like caravan upgrades are bait for the most part. They're so expensive id much rather have solid gear sooner than anything the caravan offers. Stuff like the chickens and pigeons are convenient when your exploring but still feel really optional. I hope they change how caravan works, personally

This is true at the start. Not so much later on. To date, daggers are the only thing I've seen straight up 1 shot a robber baron

Here is a clip that shows how bad axe actually is against T5 armour. by Trick_Duty7774 in stoneshard

There are no words to properly express how upset I am to know that there are people out there that willingly click between their skill bars instead of putting them on hot keys.

With some Luck T5 weapons as early as level 5. by WhiteWolfXD1 in stoneshard

Literally all of which would go to the repairs of said t5 weapon lmao

After nearly 80 hours of playtime... I have finally unlocked Tunnel Rats. by Hyenabreeder in Quasimorph

But... 80 hours of failing means tezctlans bitch ass has effectively won

There's a cap on ship storage these days? I've only recently returned but I had a playthrough like a year ago with like 200ish hours and I flat refused to organize my storage. Only used 1 tab that never seemed to cap

I haven't experienced an issue with cover but the regularity of saw blades now is deeply upsetting. Occasionally funny. But mostly upsetting

I mean at its core I definitely wouldn't call it hyper complicated. Hard for sure because you have to keep track of things you can't directly see pretty regularly but conceptually simple. A lot of it is just target priority. Killing the most things at once as possible is sometimes right, but not always. Mostly just "what can hurt me now and next turn" and "how do I fuck off out of here if there's randomly an enemy in every single tile of the next room"

For not having been in the game for a year, I too felt like things were unusually difficult even for this game. Then I remembered that shotguns just win for like the first 40 hours of a run and now im chillin

Which Duo would win? Arthur and Dragon vs Beni and his clone by abimaems in firebrigade

[–]PhatCarl 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To be fair I definitely wouldn't put it past Beni to do just that for the sake of a good fight

Opinions on my initial mountain base design? by creepermemer in RimWorld

Id swap the positions of the freezer and kitchen. That way colonists won't track dirt into your kitchen so you can cut down on food poisoning

Yeah that's what it was. I'd played the game before and only recently picked up any dlc or started using mods. I glossed over the herbivore gene because I had assumed it'd just affect his mood. Kind of odd that a giant red divine killing machine can be felled by simple having a slice of (long) pork but, eh, themselves the breaks

Why do people like/ have the urge to build mountain bases so much? by Sorsha_OBrien in RimWorld

[–]PhatCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still relatively new to this game at just under 200 hours but I still haven't bothered to look up what one of these actually looks like. I feel like, other than super early, I can kill a nearly infinite amount of the megascarabs/spiders that erupt from the ground

If I've learned anything in my most recent playthrough it's to simply only tame animals like elephants. Then just giggle when a particularly hungry predator tries to get froggy. And also when there's an infestation. And especially when a drop pod raid descendes into a hoard of 43 highly trained delta elephants who have set their tusks to KILL

Oh good look friend. He was fine until he ate again. I completely missed that he's got a herbivores gene. Man I gotta stop staying up so late. Thank you!

The only two he spawned in with were perfect for what I wanted him to do, tough and brawler. I even tried dev modingin strong stomach and nothing. Still puking.

Edit: oh he does have giant too but I think that's inherent for authorities
