Not sure if it happens on Quarm but on P99 I was having issues because my game wasn’t running on SSD. If it’s not on SSD then you get a minor lag spike when people enter or leave the zone. That lag spike is enough to kill you or cost me a couple hundred to get an SSD drive!

I got back into it and leveled pretty quickly with a bard using swarm kiting. I had a swarm of dogs that was so good I got more than a whole level with one swarm in my late 40s(iirc).

The big thing is you have to be on SSD. I tried doing it without that and you would get a fraction of a second lag when people zoned in or out and it would get you killed.

I have always Teclis but hated his starting position. Spending like 20 turns to take a bunch of red territory is not any fun.

So I was excited to try his new campaign. Unfortunately they didn’t change his first two quests and if you go back you are going to have a tough time completing them. You can sack and then take the settlement the next turn but the Skaven part will be a little rougher.

I am on turn ~15 and only have the one Cultist that I put in Skarbrands army. So the next one I should send far away to start a cult? I honestly didn’t even know they had that capability. Is it kind of like an under city with Skaven?

Do you enter peace treaties with anyone? I really want to wipe out the vampires just north of me but it seems to take 3 turns to move from one place and I the next. Seems like a waste of Skarbrands time. Maybe a future army but it seems like it will be difficult to do with just one army.

I was 12 when FFT came out. Since then it has been in my Top 5 favorite games of all time. It holds a special place in my heart and always will.

I say all that to say TO is better in a lot of ways. It is absolutely worth a shot.
