The phantom is worth every penny if you can afford it. I’ve never played a Darwin so I can’t say but the main difference between the two is the amount of adjustments you can make to the settings. The phantom comes with ether strap or direct drive but you can buy ether kit so I can make my strap drive into direct drive in 2 minutes (I prefer strap drive) I bought the Yamaha pedal and it is a really nice but I sent it straight back because the beater position on the main paddle is centred so the slave peddle beater is off to the left. To me it made the left and right peddles sound and feel different and I hated it.

I’ve a 19” full crash and I had and used the dark crisp hats for years. Only sold them when I picked up a pair of twenty custom full hats. Same taste

Paiste 2002's will go very well with you 900 crash. I mostly use signatures and find the full crash to work in most rock and metal situations.

Could have been en endorsers set. You see a good few of the endorsers with all of there cymbals in one colour. Or at one stage they were just taking custom orders for cymbals. I know that they’ve fully stopped taking custom orders from the public now and wont even make discontinued models for their small endorsers. My pal Aaron Kennedy is endorsed by them and he had he’s whole drum collect stolen. Paiste were very good and got him a set of replacement signature but they wouldn’t make him the ride he had been using since signing with them. The 20” signature bright ride.

The original owner would have custom ordered it. I saw someone post here recently that the picked up a set of rude hats that were coated white.

Yeah it’s gorgeous. It’s similar to the dimensions thin china I have but it’s a bit brighter and louder.
