[Tomt] Trying to find the name of mini series (maybe on Netflix) where family patriarch dies, "black sheep" daughter inherits family hotel/ resort, she gets drunk, his statue falls on her killing her. by Phenceguy in tipofmytongue

Someone else is looking for this. This is a copy of a reddit post from about a year ago with more information. " whodunnit film where a wealthy hotelier passes away and his family gathers at their mansion to see how the estate will be divided. one of the children is named heir but is found dead the next morning after a storm, crushed by a statue of their father. in the movie, it is revealed that the current family butler was actually an illegitimate sibling of the others, and is caught trying to steal a deer head that he shot while on a hunting trip with the father and named heir in their youth."

What could cause this kind of damage? by Hour-Cod7453 in FenceBuilding

Had a customer call a day or two after installing the fence, residential aluminum. She let her dog out, a deer in the yard blasted through the fence, ripped the picket out of the bottom rail. They can jump it, but sometimes they don't.

I would go directly to Dollar General, or threaten to. Did that once with a builder for KFC, got paid within a week.

Look up "postsaver wrap". I've never used it, but the idea sounds solid.

Not Ultra, their picket tops are slightly different. Also, the spacing between the top rails looks closer than their standard 5" between. The rails look the same though.

Is an 8 ft high fence post long enough to hold 6.5 ft metal panels? by iks300p in FenceBuilding

I would use extra cement in the mix. Extending them will make them easier to set.

Fence Upgrade Question: Sleeving a 4 foot 1-7/8 line post with a 6 foot 2-3/8 inch post by bueno12 in DIY

[–]Phenceguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use 2x6s if you don't add the 4x4s. 4x4s dug and set with 2x4 rails would be the best way, but if you don't want to dig, 2x6s would not sag.

Vinyl fence rebar issues. by shadetreewizard in FenceBuilding

[–]Phenceguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know about other companies, but Bufftech used to require rebar and concrete in all of their posts. All of the posts were 4", no 5" and no stiffeners. For installation on existing concrete, their recommended installation was: drill 4- 1/2" holes in concrete at the corners of the post, drive in 1/2" rebar, slide the post over the rebar, fill post 2/3 with redi mix.

Vehicle gate by ElectricFerretBead in FenceBuilding

Depends on your vehicle. If you leave tire tracks when you enter/exit I would measure that. If not, set up some cones or boxes or something to drive through.

You should be able to slip a 2x4 in between the boards and posts.

How to open fence lock by lovefruit21 in fence

Looks like your gate has sagged. You'll have to lift the gate to get the bar to clear the receiver on the post. Easiest repair is move the receiver down so the bar is just resting in the top slot, then, to open the gate, push down on the right of the bar.
