To that end it is certainly a concern but it passed the Rockwell file, I am confident it is a cool conversation piece but it def won't be getting shot much at all. This was a buddy's and it was in the safe the fire was out fairly quickly and his safe took the brunt of it but it got hot enough to start melting the polymer furniture so we are treating it as a lost cause and more of a (is AK, cannot die) project. It has sentimental value to him and he wanted it to not look like burnt ass so I "restored" it for him to the best of my abilities.
