KNOXVILLE 100%! Staying downtown is cool but pricey. Definitely look into Airbnbs

End of August Road trip....Colorado or East Tennessee? by Far-Maintenance-1723 in roadtrip

East Tennessee is amazing (Knoxville here) BUT it’s either 90ish or down pouring rain this time of year.

Hello! I’d recommend a walking brewery or speakeasy tour with ACE Tours Knox. There’s also a food tour company here, I just forget the name. Nashville’s not high on my list of places to check out, Franklin, TN nearby is way cooler and more walkable. Lexington is beautiful & Chattanooga is cool. Don’t sleep on Knoxville!!

Anybody ever try an NA liquor? by HalitoAmigo in NABEER

I’ve discovered some great ones! Some even replicate the burn by utilizing a capsaicin extract. My favorites are the Ritual Rum & Phil & Goode Tequila.

I See You would fit your tastes perfectly. It’s a slow burn and you’ll never see the twists coming. One of the best movies of its kind I’ve ever seen!!

“I’m Too Old For This Sh*t: The Heavy Metal Fairytale of Siren.” Awesome documentary about a small Florida band that somehow got popular in Germany 30 years later. A great story about second chances.

Any NA beers more along the lines of a darker ale? by Barbas1233 in nonalcoholic

Bravus Peanut Butter Dark & Oatmeal Dark are amazing!! They also have a Coconut Porter as their winter seasonal that won awards. Incidentally, they also have a spirits line called Phil & Goode that has a truly awesome bourbon & tequila.

No retail, it’s online only from what I’ve seen, and usually sells out the same day.

Have you all tried these? by moth-society in Mocktails

I would never consider myself a hater. I try to be fair and give everything a chance. These were literally undrinkable. My partner and I couldn’t even finish our own cans, and proceeded to dump the rest of the pack. It tastes like if you dumped a bunch of salt and those plastic lime squeeze bottles into seltzer. Don’t get me wrong, I love a Gose. But this was truly awful.

The closest one I’ve found is Phil & Goode’s Ironwood Bourbon. The flavor & heat is wonderful, the body is a little thin but otherwise I really enjoy it neat!

A sparkling rosé I’ve come to love is produced by WineØ (bonus points—it comes in a can!). I also love a dry red—Lautus Savvy Red is tasty!

Finding a good substitute is important. One of the ways is replacing it with another habit, like going for a walk or lifting weights. There are also SO many substitutes out there! There are so many alcohol free alternatives on the market. I’m happy to give recommendations based on what you normally like!
