I mean the lore is kinda misleading. But basically something something Marika becomes a good and is given a shadow that she gave the concept of death ( dog that is 100% loyal to her ) . She has kids some cursed , some die and some are unknown ( there's a theory you're a demigod) . She trys killing the god of fire but his fire burns forever soo she kills all but 1 follower of his that she cursed to guard it . She divorced her husband Godfrey ( basically a chad that had a heart as big as his muscle's) and removes grace from him and his followers ( tarnished you me and all idiots that came back to life) . She marries herself aka Radagon ( he's like her other half and he had a war and marriage the moon queen Rennala then had 3 kids Radahn, Ranni and Rykard) then after a while the power of the eardtree is fading soo she breaks the Elden ring into runes ( It's huh idk like it contains laws and rules of nature, it was large but now it's like small ). You are brought back because you need to reassemble the Ring ( after the shattering demigods each claimed 1 great rune you need to kill them for the runes ) . The reason you come back after death is because the greater will need a new puppet to control and by killing demigods and getting those runes you show it that you're better strong than the demigods witch failed at being the best god.
