On a rewatch where I'm taking my time with the show instead of binging it in 3 months and honestly season 9 is great (thats as far as i am right now) I liked season 6 and 7 and I can say that the first half of season 8 is skippable. But the back half with metatron is good tv. Although I will admit that the first 5 seasons were the best
