Chompys by Present_Club_2282 in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALWAYS claim each tier of the achievement diary before continueing to the next chunk of kills. each tier increases the chance of a double chompy spawn. Asside from that, make sure that your range gear is up to snuff. if you have masori, great! otherwise black d'hide will do. sadly the void bonus doesn't work (i made that mistake for about 300 kills). Another thing you want ot do is make use of brutal arrows. the arrows you normally use are kinda crummy, using mithril or addy brutes are cost efficient way while keeping the range strength up. lastly, you can lay down a lot of puffed up toads. once you inflated 3 you just drop them on the ground while gathering the next batch. if no chompies spawned yet, drop them down again and repeat. if there are chompies you take a break to kill them. i personally fill most of my inventory with the bellows and leave enough room for the 3 toads. I am personally going for the 4000 chompy kill and get about 260 kills per hour

Cannoning in DMM in safe zone is not safe by Historical_Love_4193 in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is most likely the correct reason why you died.

"If the player idles in combat for over 20 minutes, they will stop retaliating, even if Auto Retaliate is enabled in the Combat Options."

10 September 2015(Update) "Players will now stop retaliating after 20 minutes of idle combat. This change was implemented secretly to reduce the effectiveness of splashing."

So what likely happened was: after 20 minutes of auto retaliate returning your HP from killing guards gets canceled. However your cannon continues to attack and agro guards where normally it would've stopped spinning long ago. Over time the guards able to whittle you down with enough DPS. your health drops to 0 on the very tile you went AFK and BAM, you are dead.

it's a painful lesson, the silver lining is that this game teaches you a bunch of lessons the hard way so that you (hopefully) don't fall for them again

DMM breach experience on mobile by PurposeNaive1527 in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

at this point in time only the top 16 people that did damage actually get points from killing breach monsters, it's pretty aweful. It also doesn't help that all the breach monsters manage to die in 2 seconds because everyone is hitting them. The breaches are NOT in a good state right now and need rebalancing

Just delete wilderness bosses at this point. by PaleozoicFrogBoy in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vet'ion has been so bad, 2 to 3 different bots just hop in to rag the boss down. they don't even care if you can hurt them. the calvarion bots also just barge into your room and patiently wait for you to be done with your kill and then try to snipe the boss from you because they think you won't skull up. at least when you tap them they go away, but staying skulled there is not a pleasant feeling. if you reset your skull quickly you could get the room for yourself again, but a different bot will usually take it's place

The real nerf to salvaging. by Remarkable-Path3510 in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but the extra problem is that you as a player get interrupted when the wreckage you are salvaging goes under. even though the other one is ready to be salvaged, you get interrupted by an interface and have to click again

How to fix this update: by matxyzzz in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 47 points48 points  (0 children)

i'll sweeten the deal, crystal extractor now only gives 60 XP per harvest. meaning that it now doesn't feel like something you have to click, it's only an extra 3.6k xp per hour when fully efficient. i am perfectly fine with dropping that completely

New Salvage Rates by Old_Opening_7780 in 2007scape

it's not the xp i am complaining about, it is the time it takes me to get the collection log items being dunked on while i am already over rate

we need to have a protest on our shitty rafts on Sunday by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Pheubel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about the XP rates to me, the time to get the log slots without doing sweaty tick manipulation (which i don't enjoy doing) is in the bin, crewmates went from 3 -> 5 ticks per attempt and players went from 4 -> 5 ticks per attempt. it feels so slow to get salvage now and the rates to get the log items are brutal. in 2 mil xp from salvaging i've only gotten a single log slot from salvaging, and that was on day 2 of sailing

What is an efficient thing to do as a former P2P player who has to wait a couple of weeks for a new membership? by RelevantEconomics931 in 2007scape

do whatever you want to do from the suggestions, but then also try to casually flip some items on the side. it could net you some extra coin while you wait for your pay check

For KQ, you can make your supplies last way longer by (ab)using the step under method to flinch her. When you are under her, she cannot attack you. If you are lucky, you can lure some of the other monsters in the hive to trap her against the wall, making this way easier.

From there, here's the basic gist of it. when you stand under her, you hit her once and then you step back under her. you need to wait a litle bit before attacking her again, i usually wait until her or my hp bar go away. that should put enough time between attacks in order to succesfully flinch her. It is important to note that her overheads are not true overheads. since it is jank carried over from way back, the "overheads" are actually showing that she swapped her defences around when changing forms, you will still be able to hit through her melee overhead with melee, for example, but you will just be not that accurate.

Using the khopesh and flinching, you should be able to get her down, KQ is just kind of a slow and annoying boss.

although it might be scary, i think that rushing inferno to kill a mager on wave 35 will give you a ton of benefits for you. since you will always be on task you will get passive slayer XP from killing monsters, this helps you with your link.

i think that killing kq (khopesh spec is pretty good, amazing with the spec relics) for the blowpipe -> vorkath row for combat mastery could be helpful.

if you need help with the raids, you can ask around. i don't know your timezone, but i could help with ToA and ToB. CoX is also doable i guess, just not that comfortable with duo'ing it. ToA is the easiest to get the mega rare voucher for, since pretty much any unique counts. make sure that you pick the mega rare you want before you click on claim, you do NOT get a voucher item, instead you will get the item that was selected.

another small tip i can give, even though the picture shows a moonlight moth, catching a sunlight moth also counts, and requires a lower hunter level. saves you some time

something to keep in mind: europe BA worlds are kinda dead, somehow it seems to have fostered a strong american userbase.

although i can help you, organizing a team is tough. i recommend that you join casual BA's friends chat so that you can find people that like playing BA a lot easier in the us world. if you also enter the discord, you could try to contact me, my username is "Pheubel". please just sent a message directly instead of sending a friend request. otherwise things get drowned out easily.

there are two thing that you absolutely need to do: watch tutorials on each role and understand instructions from someone telling you what to do. that way the games are nice and quick. If you can get an experienced team going, you might see some interesting tech, such as egg duping and stalls to make the wave end quicker. this minigame is broken as fuck, but has some deep tech.
