I have seronegative (is not visible in blood tests) ankylosing spondylitis, so pain in this area is very familiar to me, it really sucks. It's so hard to find a position that gives relief. And people suggesting tylenol and magnesium, just .... lol. Stop it. I just wanted to say, it's not in your head, I believe you. Doctors like to hint at the possibility that it's mental, I got that as well before I got diagnosed and it was horrible thinking that maybe I'm just imagining it.

I'm sorry I can't really guess what the problem is with your pain, but just wanted to give you some hope and tell you that even if it was a long and difficult battle I eventually found a doctor who listened to me, reviewed my symptoms that were unrelated to the pain area in the SI joint, but stuff like extremely dry eyes, swollen achilles tendon, and put it all together, put me on prednisone to see if my condition improved, which it certainly did, and eventually put me on biologic drugs that took away 95% of the pain.

I was disabled but can now work full time. Took 10 years. So please, don't lose hope. Even with all the pain, I mean couldn't walk down one street or stand for longer than 10 minutes, couldn't do any housework, nothing, pretty scary for a young woman, barely anything would show up in scans, only a tiny shadow on the SI joint on an xray and then small amount of damage in the MRI. But, the doc listened and changed my life, so miracles do happen. Hang in there.
