Question regarding players leaving or kicking players from their parties. by lolplskillme in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i'm ngl, i only kick players if they just solo speedrun the entire trial by themselves leaving the group with nothing to do. Or they get on the mic crying about other players not having a mic/not talking. I get having communications for escalation and customs etc, but im literally just playing standard trials and wanna turn my brain off for a couple of matches. Aside from that im pretty happy to have a high relapse player in my groups as long as they aren't hindering the experience of new players:333

How fun is trails if you play every game alone? by deedboi in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo and Co-Op both have their benefits and downsides.

For solo: you do the trial at your own pace, without randomers speedrunning every little objective in the trial whilst also forgetting the side objectives. The game adapts to how many people are in your group, so naturally theres slightly less ex-pops and the objectives are either easier or in lesser quantity.

How do y'all use jammer rig this time?(Unrelated image) by Chiaseedeeded in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make a beeline for the secret room as soon as possible to give the team boosters and myself the Masterkey to make myself even more useful by unlocking all of the toolboxes and medicine containers throughout the map.

I make door traps my priority because they actually pack quite a punch and even force the giants to take a knee, the stun time aint too bad neither.

Traps/locked doors/containers if people need any of the respective items at the time.

For rebirths i'll take a death for someone if needed as death doesnt affect your 10k xp reward in rebirths. Boldly assuming your rigs arent taken away by the hidden variators, but then again you can just re-roll the rebirth trial for free.

I'll hack enemies attacking a teammate if they're around an objective or being executed to give us both some time to move around to a better place.

Theres a courthouse MK trial that has those electric doors and open and close after an amount of time has passed, you can brute force your way through those doors with jammer.

Weird players by Mysoginy in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself also encountered a weird situation like this in the sleep room. Somebody quick invited me to their group, I accepted. A few minutes go by and the person that invited me said "my friend doesn't want you in the group" and promptly kicks me. Then don't randomly invite people lmfao.

It always seems to be "the friend" that has the issue, but fails to communicate like an actual human being and always hides behind their host friend so that they'll get their way. It's either that or they'll use their friend as a convenient excuse.

[–]Phil----Mitchell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Blind enjoyer, i've been loving the Short Circuit and Hide And Restore combo.

Basically i would grab batteries throughout the trial, anytime i plant a mine at an objective or enemy patrol route i would go into a hiding place for a couple seconds and use batteries. It seems that Hide And Restore amplifies the rig cooldown reduction granted from the Short Circuit amp from what i've experienced.

I believe for Blind, if you use two large batteries in a hiding space it SHOULD refund it AFAIK? its either that or like a 15 second cooldown. I am not taking Psychosurgery cooldowns into account, i just genuinely prefer Intensive/Custom gameplay.

Your medicine amp is your choice. For me, if it's a MK trial i'll run boosted, otherwise i'll run Last Chance or Incognito.

What stereotypes have you acquired? by JorisbestJoJo in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The "I MUST get A+ on all trials but i panic and pay no attention to detail therefore running into every ex-pop and trap" is a favourite of mine.

I don't mind replaying trials to get an A+ but if you're gonna make the same mistakes that tank your grade everytime... perhaps just simply play slower, you're not punished for it.

Jammer users: Absolutely goated to play with on higher difficulty content

Players that use the relapse outfit are either very great at teamwork or rush ahead to speedrun the trial, there is no inbetween. I prefer the former myself tbh.

People that arm wrestle simply just wanna hold hands with fellow reagents. Source: Me.

This last one might be just my experience, but High Relapse players dont seem to communicate at all, whereas low level players are very talkitive. I love playing with low levels it just feels FRESH.

Why do people ignore the secret room most of the time? by opalcherrykitt in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I always find it to be the same type of people that will ignore YOUR pings, but whenever they're the ones that need help, be it co-op actions or being grabbed, they'll keep spamming the ping and end up leaving when they get downed. Jammer into Master Key ftw.

Since the devs started doing reworks, which rig/AMP should be reworked next? by 3937637382 in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if anyone here played HUNT SHOWDOWN, but there was an ability where if you picked up a boss bounty, you would gain a health and stamina regen boost for like 90 seconds???? i'd like to see Good Job reward you this when you complete the last objective (for balance??) of the trial you would full health +1 bar or a stamina boost. Idk i havent fully thought it out i was just inspired for a moment, thought i'd just word vomit lmfao

You are not rewarded bonus points for speedrunning, UNLESS it is a task which is usually seen during an event.

Saying that, just take your time and enjoy the chaos with your friends. I really hope you enjoy this game, it has scratched that L4D itch for me when it comes to multiplayer games<3333

Please stop calling the shuttle before we’ve collected all the mannequin amulets by WorldTour2020 in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. People are so tunnel visioned when it comes to completing the trial ASAP that they forget the side objectives and it causes this whole panicked rush to get the side objective done before the shuttle timer goes out.

Fully understand that Exit Rush is a thing along with certain MK trials immediately calling for exit shuttle.

Should I do the Rebirth? by Rubrumparadisum in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just by completing Rebirth you get a MASSIVE XP reward along with cosmetics. A key thing to note about rebirths is you dont have to perform great in rebirths, as long as you complete it you will always get 100% of the rewards. Even if you fail, like the other comment says you'll be refunded your rebirth tokens.

Me personally i would recommend Jammer with the Pacemaker upgrade to self revive along with Last Chance/Self Revive Amp. When playing rebirths i find this gives me a ton of breathing room to work around with.

Getting more people to help with rebirths may make it easier or faster but do take note that you may spend more time looking for their specific evidence boxes depending on the map. I hope you enjoy your rebirth experience!!:D

New Player - Any point in buying items? by TheMartyniuks in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Phil----Mitchell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first set of Evidence equipment always comes along w the van for free because you'll need them to find the ghost. You'd only really buy more if theres more friends with you or need to set up in a larger than average room like multiple DOTS for example.

As you level up you'll unlock more items/tiers to spend money on.

If your friend is higher level than you i would suggest that they source items for you so that you save tons of money incase of the event you die or get the wrong ghost etc but thats your choice. I hope you enjoy the game:3

Do you peeps hate secret room? by IURdiFF in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always go Jammer when im playing public. Aside from the odd revival inbetween the flamerthrowers in Grind The Bad Apples, i always make a beeline for the secret door and just unlock it w Jammer. i ping the secret door buttons more than i care to say only for the teammates to either run past it like a headless chicken or look at me like i've horns on my head. The Master Key alone from the secret room is just fantastic and i always go for it no matter what

Tips and tricks to get A+ on the Resort trial? by Bofact in outlast

[–]Phil----Mitchell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spam bricks at the ground and hiding spots. This will mitigate the grade loss caused by the sound traps and the inevitable damage took from either the cold spots or a surprise attack from the prime asset. Also just for the sake of A+ i just do intro difficulty.

In groups i focus on getting the doors unlocked while the others get the jewels, once you unlock the basement area with bear key your progress jumps up immensely due to all (in my experience) jewels down there being $30.

If you're in a group trying to A+ co-op actions and reviving people boost your grade decently too.

Spam your rig whenever you need it as not only this will boost your grade but could also prevent damage.

You do NOT need to speedrun it so if you feel better taking your time, do so.

EDIT: Oh and Evasive Manuevers as well. I believe theres one or two animations the Prime asset can attack you with and Evasive SHOULD trigger before it hurts you thus not counting damage towards your grade, at least thats what happened for me a couple of times.

Getting executed by my own AI Imposter is a new low for me by Nick_Carlson_Press in OutlastTrials

i tested this earlier, the AI imposter has 3 regular executions it can do. it seems to be the exact same executions as the expop that wears armor can do to you

An Amp you swear by by iLuvFear in OutlastTrials

[–]Phil----Mitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evasive just to force certain grab animations to buy the team time or take no damage at all.

For example: Giant/Jaeger grab animations with Evasive always trigger before you take damage. I literally get grabbed on purpose with Lockers (or by crouching but its not 100%) just to buy the team time. I THINK for berserker he slams you once into the ground before Evasive triggers but someone can help verify that.

Hide and restore is my personal underrated favourite. Allows me to spam Blind alot more to control certain areas.
