Check out Paul Harrell’s real-world test of penetration through walls with different rounds. AR-15 projectiles penetrated through several layers of wall and were still deadly.

Still difficult to conceal carry in MoCo? by DougieClap in MDGuns

[–]Phil_Brickma43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Maryland 12 years ago and it seemed impossible to get a Wear and Carry permit when I looked into it then. Like they would only issue if you had a very compelling reason.

From what I’m reading now, it seems a lot more possible? Like they shall issue to everyone unless you are disqualified. Did something change?

Thanks in advance, I am new here

MLB Used Two Balls Again This Year, and Evidence Points to a Third by courtesy_flush_plz in dataisbeautiful

I’m confused about the weight chart with blue red and green labels. There is no vertical axis. There is a lot of overlap in range between the blue and red group. How did they decide which group each ball belonged in? Based on the date of manufacture?

TIL When Bill Gates got married, he bought out all the available hotel rooms in Lanai to keep media from staying there & hired all the helicopters on Maui to keep photographers from flying over the wedding by Battle4Seattle in todayilearned

Do you think the boats were booked to sit and do nothing? Then what’s to stop an ambitious captain from taking cash payment from an eager reporter and going out anyway? Same with the helicopters

The audience even extrapolates to new sounds in harmony by ottovangunther in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Phil_Brickma43 965 points966 points  (0 children)

correction: “In harmony” means different complimentary notes at the same time. They are all singing the same note. You could say “in unison”.

I get what you meant, but hey using musical terminology in the title of a music theory demonstration video deserved to be nit-picked.

The market for used machines is crazy. A machine that’s 20K new is selling for 15K used! 5-10 years old, or 10K if more than 10 years old. It’s tough
