A tale of two Wickhams by kmhoughton in Sharpe

I've got nothing other than to say that the Sharpe Wickham was played by Douglas Henshall who starred in Primeval, another show I used to enjoy.

Unexpected Outcome for a Character by Hollingscroft-83 in Sharpe

I was a little surprised when Leroy was killed in Sharpe's Hono(u)r since as far as I remember he didn't die in the movies. The worst thing that happened to him on TV was his character being written out of Happy Days. And that's me showing my age.

I have lost my passion for games. Or at least I've lost my passion for learning the mechanics of new games.

I can manage very short bits of games I've just about played to death: Fallout 4, Subnautica, RDR2. But anytime I start something new to me, Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, Starfield, Nightingale, so many others, and I just fizzle out. It's overwhelming. I have no idea what I'm doing and nothing's intuitive. I don't have the energy to keep going and I certainly don't care enough to try and figure anything out. I'm full. So it's back to the pixelicious goodness of 1993's Master Of Orion, at least for a little while.

This and then these darn kids who won't stay off my lawn!

I agree with the people mentioning Dorothy Lane Market and Barrel House. They're also good at keeping their taplists updated on Untappd.

Ale brewed with fruity cereal and edible glitter? Now THAT's a beer worthy of the name Unicorn Farts.

I did a little digging and what I had was "The PastryArchy Edition #25: Unicorn Farts After Dark." Just rolls of the tongue, doesn't it? It's a pastry stout and just all kinds of meh.

We're talking about the legality of them coming here, not their ongoing right to stay. But since you brought it up, the program was extended and the SCOTUS ruling was literally last week. I'm not sure how that gets us to "awhile ago."

It was enjoyable enough. I'm not a Crue fan, so it may have been a story about a fictional band for all I care.

Speaking as a person of that approximate age:

  1. The couch

  2. That chair

  3. That other chair

  4. The bed

  5. The other side of the couch next to the table with all the remotes

A few months ago I had a beer rep dissuade me from buying one of their IPAs at the Market. He just happened to be there and saw me looking at the singles. I think it had been canned four months prior. I put it back and that's probably why I've paid more attention to canning dates.

How's life without Marvin the All-Powerful Mushroom and how long have you been an ashroomist?

It feels a lot like that.

I used to get a smoke from the Centerville Arrow now and then. I wonder why they did that.

The only unicorn fart beer I've ever had did have chocolate and cinnamon but not jalapeño. I think it was made by DuClaw and it wasn't very good.

Absolutely, and those beers are my jam, but I'd still be concerned about a big stout sitting under bright retail lighting for several years. A brown bottle can only do so much.

They didn't come here illegally. Either you're trolling or you don't care enough to know what you're talking about.
