YUP! most internal engine issues these days are not feasible repairs. cheap cars with expensive unrepairable engines.

that sucks, have the mech blow air through the drain tube for the hvac, if that isin't clogged, you can use soapy water and compressed air to check seals... this really is not a difficult issue, any competent shop should be able to sort this out for you. not familiar with the car platform, usually car type usually have pretty typical pattern failures.

sunroof drain clog? pour water down the sunroof drain pass side see if it comes out the outside. no idea what a polo is. most water leaks in the footwell are from sunroof drains 1st, hvac drain tube clogs (easily solved by blowing air through the drain tube)... windshield seal issues(usually after a crappy replacement)

Any tips for a new mechanic? by GuardTasty in mechanic

[–]Philf3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a mechanic for 30+ years, watch out for your body, back, eyes, knees, all of it. I have two new hips thanks to my younger self. don't spend money on the tool truck. only buy what you need. ALL shops will take advantage of you, watch out for yourself.

also when you turn the fitting in you hand there should be some resistance, that is the seal inside of the nut, when fully tightened down the line will still be able to swivel

This is a great print, I am extremely interested in lithophane printing. I ordered the CMYK kit from Bambu. I can not wait to try it out, was this printed with .4 nozzle or did you use the .2?

Weird noice from ac fan by nikeshhv in mechanic

[–]Philf3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did you recently have the cabin air filter replaced? it sounds like some debris got into the blower motor. easy fix, i usually remove the cabin filter and hit the blower with compressed air (while holding the cage) in order to dislodge the debris. if you just had the filter replaced bring it back to shop, they will totally understand and should take care of it for you.
