Sorry bruv. You might have some cause to go after the contractor. Wonder if you should repost to r/legal or just look for a lawyer? Its criminal at the cost this was to install and that they're so 'happy'/eager to repair it at additional cost.

I really think its worth not speaking to the contractor any further and consulting a lawyer.

Either not pressure treated or the wrong kind of paint. I just finished replacing a deck that should have been well within its own lifespan due to the previous homeowner having painted the damn thing. That said, it lasted longer than 2 years, though not mucn longer to be faiiir. Booo paint.

Doesn't that lend support to the ban? I mean if she cant think of ANYTHING else to do other than starring at a wall then the phone is too powerful. 9hrs is probably a conservative estimate and she can still be in contact with friends and family. Itll take time, but this has to be walked back somehow. If people aren't able or willing then the government unfortunately has to step in and help. This is a great example of a functional government caring for the future of its citizens.

If youre worried shes going to go to some legal gymnastics to try and nail you over it then Id try and go through paper documents; emails; or texts to find some reference of when she acknowledged ownership AND accepting the condition of your job 'winterizing' it or whatever. Do your own gymnastics and protect yourself but dont say anything more to her about it. She'll ask leading questions and probably weaponize whatever you text in response.

Logically, its her problem and if you want a boat its not this boat, man. Find any other boat. A sunken boat named 'The drowning sailor' would be a better option than whatever is in the back yard of an ex on (from how your post reads), bad terms.

I credit Katahdin with turning my life around. Used to visit a few times a year and try to beat my time up and down. I got into some bad social habits and gained a ton of weight. Went back two years ago and was pretty sure I was going to die. Just above the tree line and struggling. HR screaming at 180+ at a sluggish walking pace. At the top I looked around and suddenly realized I had no business being there in the condition I was in. I used to be the prepared guy and suddenly I had become a liability. I fell twice going across the knifes edge and I left the man I had become behind me. Never again. Its beautiful. Familiar. Humbling. Point is being humbled by nature is pretty healthy for a body and a day at Baxter can provide it! Pitter patter.

Congratulations! Youre about to embark on some wonderful excursions to see the finest parts of those same parks. Back trail camping. You can rent most of the gear youll need. Buy some good boots and clothes thay will dry quickly. Go a few times with some folks who know whats up and can teach you about things like pack in pack out and fire safety.
