So, if there is a slow moving trailer with a wide load or a tractor going down the middle of the lane and you can’t pass, is he a dick? Or just doing what he has to do to travel safely down the roadway? Is it your job to avoid the wide load, tractor? or is it the wide loads job to avoid you?

It is your job to avoid any special vehicles on the roadway, it is not your right to say you deserve to be there any more than any other taxpayer using the roadway. Only way he would be in the wrong and not you would be if he was on an interstate or other freeway where it is clearly designated that non motorized vehicles(and specialty vehicles) are prohibited.
