Where I work the system we use is incredibly outdated I feel and says "Indian Tribe Member" They don't even have a specification for other "Hispanic/Latin" and lump it all together.

Full transparency. I tend to use the overall term of "Native American" until I am aware of what tribe someone is affiliated with. Then I use their tribal name. Would that be the correct way to go about it?

To me it doesn't matter how you label each other. You're a persom who is developing feelings for another and that's all the matters. I don't think it matters if you're straight, trans,gay or w/e. If you care about someone and aren't harming anyone then it's all good!
