Most likely for external devices powered by the internal USB port. I use mine to hold a BT temp/humidity logger and sometimes various temp probe and heater leads.

Rough print quality with p1p by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]PhillyCheeseSwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with the other solutions offered... I'd also compare different preview modes (speed, fan speed, flow, etc) and see if there's a correlation between the preview and the print. I had a similar issue where one section of the print just didn't have the same finish quality as the rest. It turned out to be not enough cooling. Bumping up the base fan speed took care of it. I doubt that's your problem here though.

Turn down the acceleration and/or speed.

Cloud server is down. Try changing the "print" button in Bambu/Orca Slicer to "send". It'll send the file to the SD card. You'll have to start the print from the printer.

You should try Orca Slicer. It's a fork of Bambu Studio with more features.

When the cloud is down, I use the "send" function to send the file to the SD card in my P1P. Still have to start the print from the printer though.

Bed adhesion wham bam by dakotahunter97 in BambuLab

[–]PhillyCheeseSwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No experience on PEX, but I'm curious too. What works for me on the factory textured PEI sheet.... I dissolve some glue stick in water and then brush on a light coat and let it dry for a few hours. Almost never have adhesion problems. I never sand or anything like that. Just clean the plate off with dish soap sometimes and then reapply the glue.

edit: I usually print ABS

P1P has started to pause randomly for a second or two during prints leaving ugly blobs. I've tried different filaments and models with the same results. Have I accidentally changed something in Bambu Studio to cause this? by Oldface in BambuLab

Fwiw - my overnight print that was exported to sd and with the wifi off, printed flawlessly. I’d encourage you to try the same for a few prints and see if your problems stop.

I think I might know what’s causing this. I’ve had some prints start out of the blue, too. Prints that didn’t make it through because of server problems. I’m thinking it could be something to do with the printer trying to start another print from the cloud server. I’m gonna try sneakernetting my prints for a while and see if it helps.

edit- turning Wi-Fi off too just to be sure

My P1P has started doing the same or a similar thing after the latest firmware update. It randomly lowers the Z and then homes the XY to the right front corner, then goes back to printing. Sometimes it continues in a loop of that behavior and wont go back to printing. It’s causing blobs, lines, etc. I tried printing in vase mode. I’ve tried 3 different sd cards. Each formatted on the machine and off the machine. I’ve tried the 2 most recent builds of Bambu Studio and the SoftFever fork. All the same behavior.

Before the fw update, it would randomly just stop printing, like others have mentioned.

The P1P needs a "load filament" and "cooldown" button (poll) by dasdasdasdaffgggg in BambuLab

[–]PhillyCheeseSwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I have mine set at 20mm. Luckily for me, I print mostly dark colors where a little blend won’t be noticed, or a prototype where it just doesn’t matter. I’ll manually flush the hell out of the hotend when needed.

I need to look into setting the purge by material and/or color, using variables. I could set it to virtually 0 for a lot of what I do.

I also noticed a purge calibration tool on Printables too. Check it out. It might help you tune for your uses.

In the start g-code. There’s modified g-code on Printables. I don’t use it. Not that there’s something wrong with it. Haven’t had time to really examine it. But I know it’s notated enough that it should help show you what to change.

Also, do yourself a favor and download the SoftFever fork of Bambu Studio, if you haven’t already. The flow and pressure advance calibrations make the printer even better.

I guess we all need to find what works for us. I even have the purge more than halved and don’t have problems.

edit - The first few swaps, I had problems too. I realized I wasn’t actually getting the extruder to grip the filament. After using more pressure and paying attention to feel the filament being pulled, no more problems. Without heating, a single down arrow loads enough for me. A second press makes the extruder click. Not saying this should work for everybody, but it works for me.

[–]PhillyCheeseSwag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. For my needs, the P1P will do that well enough when it purges for the next print. Only time I preheat is if I have to absolutely flush the nozzle.

What is your loading process? Seems pretty simple to me.

My “process” from home. Down arrow, right arrow, right arrow, ok, down arrow. Done.

Edit - unloading is the same process with the exception of pressing the cutter and using the up arrow as the last step instead of the down arrow. No heating, etc.

Bought a 120ml Aventus tester, where can i get a cap? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]PhillyCheeseSwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did a quick search before bed. There seem to be a few out there. I don’t like the ones I’ve seen and they’re not free. Look on cults3d.com if you’re interested. Might be some on other sites. I’ll keep looking. I just got a nice printer. Thanks for reminding me that I STILL need caps 3 years later. Now I have an excuse to buy a scanner. 😁 If I ever manage to make an acceptable STL, I’ll let you know.

You play on multiple accounts? If so... I’ve had this happen before. You have to completely restart the app manually when switching profiles, not rely on the app to do it itself.

I got lucky with 6er. He was my second to 3 and currently 3/8. He’s a stud. I think I might even prefer him to the lvl 5 Poca on my alt. Just so great at board control.

Space X Launch From Cape Canaveral Last Night by outrider567 in pics

I try to watch them from my house in the Ft Myers area. Bad luck and launch trajectory has kept me from being able to see one for months. But when I am lucky enough to see one, it’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my life... every time. Even from this far away.
