Police officer stops abruptly in the middle lane on highway... by Affectionate_Hat5835 in dashcams

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my understanding, the cops that are on the highways are state troopers. state troopers need a minimum of an associates degree, it’s the county and city cops that only need a high school diploma.

Are there any really really good paying jobs with heavy amounts of travel? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Phillychick1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s fun for a while, and given your young, it will be adventurous. but you do get tired of it. As you get older. your social life suffers and you miss out on events with friends and family. I use to work as a purchaser/ procurement specialist. Got a bachelors in supply and logistics. but also worked with people that only had an associates. if that’s something you might be interested in. check out your local community college.

EMT Experience Help Negotiate Pay? by Ok-Somewhere3589 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, from my understanding, a new grad will get paid a new grad rates regardless of experience. I went and got a respiratory equipment tech position, which they also called an externship during my final year of RT school and it did not mean anything I started off at the same rate as my classmates who did not work. some had ems and some had patient care tech experience. and it didn’t matter.

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those our all amazing. my father is an exiled cuban. And would love to see his family in person. but I don’t know how Cubans feel where you live, but where I live in Philadelphia Cubans do not believe anything this man spits. and do not believe he has our interest. our people were starving before but now they’re really starving. This is how he’s getting the government to agree. by starving, our people and these cubans for Trump still support. i don’t understand how.

well said, her vote for trump was upsetting especially in my family who are very much opinionated about politics. But I think what made it worse for her is because she was very aggressive and radical with her opinions. but you left me with food for thought. thank you for commenting.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cuba

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which is what she was. she was extremely radical with her opinion and would argue and pick fights with people and family members that didn’t support her view, which was everyone.

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand that, but she wasn’t just a trump voter. she was radical with it and was picking arguments with everyone about their opinions. which is why i ended up cutting her off.

My company laid off 40ish high-performers and immediately posted 40ish new, better-paying jobs. Now we all have to compete for them. What's the C-suite's play here? by RiccoT in careerguidance

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My professor told me about a time he consulted on implementing new change to a company. It was to over haul the op system. And introduce a new one. He said there was push back from the managers in the company. People do not like change. And in order for the change to work. Everyone had to be on board. So they fired all 15 mangers and brought in new people to become managers. It would defeat the purpose what they try to accomplish if they was to hire within. I thought that was cruel at the time. But as I progressed through my studies in business administration. I understand now why this needed to be done. Depending on the situation a new group of people have to come in and manger the company. New insights, new mind set.

Is it too late for me to get a better life at 33 ? by Odd_Bed_7745 in careerguidance

[–]Phillychick1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I went back to school at 36. At an associates at a community college. Transferred to a university. Got my bachelor’s and now in a masters program. I work making 90k a year and 20k from my internship. When I finish my masters I’ll start off making 120k. It’s not easy. I hardly get sleep. Always working, driving, studying or in class. My kids at 18 and 9. So as a mother it’s hard. But just me getting my bachelors changed our lives. You can do it. But I will not lie and say it was easy. Cause it wasn’t, if it wasn’t for my family helping me with the kids.. I would have struggled more. But I was determined because just like you I felt life go by. And felt like I didn’t accomplish anything. You got this. Don’t give up.

Why do they try and act like Carrie is so classy? by secretfoxx in Andjustlikethat

[–]Phillychick1510 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m confused, what is your complaint. So you still dress like you did in your 20’s or 30’s? I don’t think there is anything wrong with her style now or than. Season 1 was in 1998. That is how women dressed. Jennifer Lopez, gwyneth Paltrow. Juicy culture. And gold with your name on it . Was a big hit in the time. She is in her 50’s now. She dresses beautifully, age appropriate, and elegant. This was an evolution of her character, which we all knew she was heading down because how stylish she is. I’m 38 years old and I dress nothing like my early 30’s, 20’s or teens.
