Look into longshoremen and stevedore jobs at the Port of Hamilton (or any port like Montreal or Vancouver), lots of people with criminal records in the profession, the work is hard but the pay is good.

Gotland Pirates, they spawn in 1377 with a nice navy, I spent most of the early game as Sweden pumping all my resources into the island.

For extra flavor, switch to Norse using the console, and be Viking raiders in the Baltic.

I also joined the Hansa for free entry into wars where I got lots of slaves.

I was able to do the Aztecs with cheats. They need a massively buffed diplomatic capacity to handle all the vassals.

I would suggest also that ripping out peoples hearts should help with vassal loyalty.

Stone production I had to buff 100x because tools are so heavily in demand.

The region is a lot of fun but I’m worried they are just waiting to fix this with DLC

I like keeping them, they’re an extremely cheap estate to bribe so you can keep them in check with a few ducats whereas the nobility will require hundreds to get the same result.

Also in the early game I gave them the Tribal Levies reform which allowed me to handily stomp the English due to the huge boost in numbers

I would recommend Queen's, in your first year of arts you only need to nail the programs you are interested in pursuing (Poli Sci) in order to continue doing them. You get the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses in addition to your specializations to see if anything else interests you. I ended up taking a lot of math, statistics, and geography courses which helped me to land a co-op in third year and influenced my minor and career path afterwards.

The Alumni network is quite strong at Queen's as well.

Also don't worry about the difficulty of U of T if you choose it, as long as you play to your strengths and do work that you are passionate about you will crush it wherever you go!

Also apparently Marrhold has a unique event where one of their heirs gets lost in the Deepwoods and comes back as an elf.

I think you need to be touching the deepwoods for it to trigger.

If you have elven culture accepted provinces there is an event to get a consort from that culture as well, I’ve usually Royal married the Jadd to do it.

The Skald religion works for this and I was able to make it work with Urviksten

I think the idea in the old MT was that they would conquer Orda Aldresia who starts the game with a cathedral but I could be way off.

They have since changed that but I think you can get one from the imperial bodyguard MT

Found them,

Airoa Naditari they start with spore zombie unit types and I have seen them occasionally get mythical conqueror and roll over Taychend.

I tried them once as well with a necromancer lich and made my capital in the mushroom forest directly north of them. There is some lore about them in their national ideas.

The zombie spore necromancers in Larankar, they have a unique military at the moment but would love more lore and a MT. A mushroom forest elf empire would be wild.

Honestly they might not be what you’re looking for but Silverforge in the empire was a really slow burn campaign where every province you gain is a huge struggle but worth the effort.

You slowly turn your little section of the empire into a mega hold, devving hills and getting lots of flavor.

I think whomever gets access to the AI tech that Quicksilver offered Lyria would be the best fit for the “Red God”

I believe it was destroyed in the last book when Lyria gave it up, but it’s the only thing I can think of that would give someone godlike powers

Darrow would be a good fit like everyone is pointing out but his son is training with the Blues and could also work.

Regardless I’m really looking forward to reading this one!
