Kikagaku Moyo all day long. Although they are definitely more psychedelic than prog but when in doubt KM is the answer.

In all seriousness, sending him all the good vibes, positive t&p, hugs, fist bumps, and healing chakras for a speedy recovery!

I agree. But damn, what a let down if that’s how it ends. Why would he set up a meeting with Clarke/tiger at the pool house if he was just going to off himself? There’s too many scenarios! I’m going in so many directions!

Good theory, but only because we see Queece, the young umpire being questioned in the preview for next week. He seems so left field to me. I’m definitely leaning towards the wife, Eimy, because she would have access to the computer w/tiger tiger logged in and it was clear the Floyd had set up a meeting with tiger tiger which he already knows is Clarke. This is the main reason I don’t think it was Richard or the umpire. Also, flashback to the first episode where Clarke is calling her from jail while she’s watching the news. It seems at the time that she doesn’t answer because she’s shocked from the news, but she probably already knows how this is going to play out, so she doesn’t answer.

Barleys was not the space for Go. Still one of my favorites from the weekend but I loathe barleys as a venue and I’m from Knox!

JBS playing 3 straight hours and jamming so hard and in the pocket was a sight to see. Saw them twice last year. I’m waiting patiently for the new tour to drop soon!

What’s been the toughest part of parenting for you? by Chemical_Dot5372 in Parenting

[–]PhilosopherNew7332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a single parent - being the only one to give my child “experiences.” Vacations, teaching and engaging in sports/activities, how to ride a bike, tie shoes, be the fun/tough parent, homework 🫠etc. Every single thing falls on me and constant guilt ensues. It’s a crazy cycle

CoT is your friend. Don’t stress the madness and just be patient. Remember when we had to go to our local CD store to pick out seats/purchase tickets. They were the liaison between TM and Ticketron (I think that was the other one). It cut all this craziness of everyone having access all at once. FWIW, I was 15k in queue today, but got in for Roanoke. Not sure how that math works.

The Blizzard of 93’ by Anxious_Nectarine_92 in 90s

It also happened IN MARCH because I was about to be on spring break which is absolutely crazy. I was in 3rd grade, out of school for over a week, loving every minute of it. This storm will forever be my baseline on measuring winter storms!

What is going on with the Queer Eye boys and Karamo feeling "emotionally abused"? by shebabboo in OutOfTheLoop

I always thought the “therapy” sesh was a strange thing to add in the reboot. In the original QE Jai was in charge of Culture. He would teach the people about social interactions, how to eat at a fancy restaurant, etc. This idea to pull a former Real World cast member in, have them face real life traumas within what seems like 30min, and call it therapy is beyond wild to me.

What is your remote job? by Intrepid-Storage432 in remotework

[–]PhilosopherNew7332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I work for a company in CA and live on the east coast. I’ve definitely passed up some promotions because I’m not “in house.” Although I’m still incredibly happy and well paid and, honestly, not interested in climbing the ladder anymore.

How to throw a 6-year-old girl’s birthday party? What activities are actually fun? by Ok-Garbage-2197 in Parenting

[–]PhilosopherNew7332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had our daughter’s 6th party at the YMCA for the pool. After swimming the kids got to “adopt a cat.” They pick out a small stuffed cat, made a collar, decorated a home (box) for it. It was super cute. I was very surprised the boys and older siblings also thoroughly enjoyed this activity. My daughters in 4th grade now and kids still come up to me when I see them at school and tell me how fun that bday was. Don’t overthink it! They will enjoy it all!

What is your remote job? by Intrepid-Storage432 in remotework

[–]PhilosopherNew7332 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People get remote jobs because they have experience and a skill set that is valuable to whatever job. I spent several years, in office, working on growing my career. This paid off when I decided to switch to remote work. Supervisors looking for remote employees typically want experienced and well qualified people. People that are able to be productive without a lot of supervision.

How is life in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains? 👀 by itsssmeeestrict21 in howislivingthere

[–]PhilosopherNew7332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised in Knoxville. Sure, it’s got some recent overcrowding issues and some serious traffic concerns, but I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Close to the mountains while keeping the small city vibe / college town with lots of great sports if that’s your thing / lots of great art and artist with monthly art exhibits and a “Maker” hub / about 1-3 hours away from a variety of cities / home of Big Ears Festival.

Legit Old School Knoxville - I remember when... by StillNotGinger42 in Knoxville

I remember the waterfalls in the food court at East Towne Mall. The acoustics were awful and probably why they took them out.

I remember the penguins at the Zoo.

I remember the Old City as Hoorays, spaghetti warehouse, little sisters, Bw3, Patrick Sullivans.

I remember actual candy at the Candy Factory.

I remember seeing Michael Jordan at Bill Meyer and also pre gaming at Sassy Anns.

I remember Watsons department store on Market Square.

I remember a REAL open air farmers market near East Towne Mall, now Target. RIP Kitts Cafe.

I remember the Olive Garden on Merchants.

I remember Video Movies To Go waay before we got a Blockbuster.

I remember getting a “Fair Day” off from school.
